I won't be buying this year's kardus as 88 bucks is to steep, But I think this is where snuson members could band together and let's say if 1 person buy's it and splits it and the cost with several other members... it could be affordable to all... All you need are several members willing to do this.... Sound's like a plan at least to make it more affordable to me....
Just a thought... Thinking out loud and outside the Kardus box as it would...
I bought the 2009 Kardus and it cost $55-$60 I don't remember exactly how much, but damn $88 is high. That sucks because I was really looking forward to it this year as how I make a little more money now, and I use los a little more often than I used to. In this economy I don't think I can spend that much, I would rather have three rolls of portions. They have put it on sale in the past after it sits around for a while so we'll see.... Also buysnus will most likely charge about $10 less than Northerner though swedish match site says it cost SEK 600 which is $90 U.S. so I don't know?
Same. Money's just too tight to justify it. I think the Kardus is well worth the $90 price tag if you have the money to spend. You're getting a snus that's unavailable any other way, and you'd pay more at a bar getting the same amount of "servings" you get from a Kardus tin. It's all in how you look at it...
I was able to try the 2010 Kardus last night. It was amazing to say the least. My budget as well is too tight for it. But if you have the means I highly reccomend it. It's a unique experience.
Sadly - no Kardus for me due to the Swedish Match ill-fated ban on sales to the EU (which don't look like they're going to budge on legalising sales of snus to the EU anyway)
It's a luxury one-off product. To complain about it's price is ridiculous, just don't but it the way you normally don't buy caviar or champagne. Or do buy it as a treat for yourself (and if this year's offering is anything near the 2009 offering which was the most sublime thing i've ever put in my mouth - it's worth it if you like snus and it doesn't stop you buying food or paying the heating bill)
Wadetheblade - just checked on XE.com and it's not much of a price hike - if you look at what $65 got you in Swedish money in November 2009 - it's the same as what $90 gets you now! Sorry that your currency has gone to pot - but consider yourself lucky that at least you're allowed to buy it at all! Love the avatar moustache by the way - presume your name is a straight shaving reference - good man yourself! Loving my new(old) W&B wedge now I've learnt how to hone it properly.
Cheers

Sometimes wrong and sometimes right .... but ALWAYS certain!!!
Aha! Just managed to get hold of some of this in the UK through the back door! Since I haven't had anything by Swedish Match is ages - it's made me appreciate it all the more!
This years is a good one - a bit like the 2008 version that I loved so much but a bit thinner cut and not quite so sticky. They choose such good, fruity, rich tobacco to blend with the booze that Kardus always seems to end up tasting like a raisiny, figgy christmas pudding.
If I can ever make a snus that tastes anything like this good then I will be so happy. It truly is a luxury item.

Sounds great squeezy. Kardus really is a treat. I don't think I'd want it as a full time snus, but it really make Xmas time special, and is something to look forward to every year. Sadly, not this year for me, but there's always next year :^)
