That's a reasonable analysis GV, but I'm not so sure about the slim to none part. I could see the government demanding records under the threat of not being allowed to ship to the USA. Personally, if I ran an internet snus company, I'd hold a strict data deletion policy, with no records being kept after 30 days. That would eliminate frequent purchase specials, but freedom isn't always cheap.

Till the gov comes in and regulates a mandatory data retention policy that says since you are selling evil tobacco you have to keep records on everything going back forever, and that you have to have it organized 50 different ways for each state so it's on the proper form etc.

But it only applies to companies that are willing to be PACT compliant in the first place, and we know which companies are and aren't. So, if you're a company that doesn't give two shits about complying with PACT, then why would you be worried about some data retention policy?
