Doctor's prescription: one oliver twist at a time thoughout the day and as much nasal snuff as you like.

This is sounding like a good option to me for someone worried about gum recession through using snus. What do you think?

edit: now corrected, i got it wrong.

Sounds ok I guess. One Oliver Twist isn't much though. I think I'd be inclined to drop that, and just use snuff if I wanted to get away from oral tobacco.

I seriously don't know. I'm thinking about the sugar in the Oliver Twist, but it's less than candy, and people eat that every day. OT tastes good, but they're just so tiny. It's kind of a frustrating experience using them. What I would personally do if I were inclined to cut back on snus, is use snus maybe 3 times per day, and fill the rest in with snuff. The occasional Oliver Twist would be a nice addition too.

I couldn't do snus just a few times a day - it is too enjoyable.

Well, it's a dry mini portion. They're prett flat, so there wouldn't be as much of a bulge; less pressure on the gum surface. I haven't used many of them, so I don't know how they feel for extended use.

You don't get the MAOIs from tobacco in quite the same way from them it seems - though nasal snuff should give them to you.

An Oliver Twist doesn't have enough nic to get a hamster's attention if you ask me. I got some from a friend after he made a trip to Germany and I had to triple barrel them to get up to what seemed like about the same nic level as a regular portion. Can't really figure what doing them sequentially would do for you. I had the "Tropical" version which apparently means anise to the manufacturer and the taste palled pretty fast. Other flavors might be rather better. Could be OK for someone really sensitive to nicotine but I convinced the aforementioned non tobacco using friend to try one and he didn't feel a thing.

I hear you Darwin, after a short trial i tend to agree with you. Triple barreling them is okay but they just don't seem like a sutainable way to get my nicotine etc
