    Your mainstay Snus

I used to smoke cigarettes. (I quit almost thirty years ago) For the most part, I didn't switch around. As a teenager I smoked Marlboro. Later I switched to Winston. Finally I settled on Camel Filters and then I quit. At each stage of smoking, I had a preference and just smoked what I smoked. I am thinking I'd like to find something I like and just buy a roll of it. If possible, maybe a lower priced snus if I like it just as well as the premium, but that is not that important either. Have any of you all settled on a snus that you buy and use pretty much to the exclusion of others?

I tried to do that, and it never worked. As soon as I found one that might fit the bill, I suddenly stopped liking it. A couple of months ago, I thought I had it narrowed down to about 6, and bought some rolls. As soon as I had them, I started to panic cause I just wasn't satisfied with what I had. That led me to buying half of what Northerner and Buysnsus sells, and suddenly had 60+ tins in my freezer.

Now, I just go to my freezer and pick what my mood desire, and I am much happier. I can still buy a roll occasionally,as there are a few I will always want around...N&J, Elyxr power, LD Black come to mind. But then the rest, I try to have as wide a choice as possible. That way, I am always coming back to something I like rather than getting tired of something.

I can almost completely echo what Sagedil says. My preferences change from month to month, but I do have a few keepers that I can't stand running low on (Gotlands Yellow, Knox, Ettan). I love those, but I also like to be able to move away from them once in a while. Also to make sure that I won't get tired of them. There are so many interesting snuses out there, and sometimes I just feel the urge to take a walk on the wild side and dig in some fruity stuff like Skruf Tranbär or GR#2

I tend to order single cans of many varieties, but you will never catch me without a roll of General Los, Grov Los, and Offroad Cranberry Los on hand. I may get in the mood for something else, which is where the random cans come in, but all-in-all I always fall back to the three I mentioned.

Unlike when I smoked, I too switch to different flavors many times even in one day in fact. I do stick with my two favorites though. At least once a day I have a Retro Portion or a Knox Portion. Knox has got to be the best for the price yet I can not get away from buying some Retro every time I buy some Knox.

          Cheers!

Echoing the comments on Knox... That stuff is absolute money.

I prefer Granit over Knox (well for loose anyhow), I know, blasphemy, but I find it to a be good, low-cost everyday snus, especially the loose. For portions my every days are Nick & Johnny Original and Gotlands Gul Portion.

When I smoked, I had two cigarettes. American Spirit Mediums for when I was only smoking once and awhile, and Kamel Red Lights for heavy smoking times.

I find that I'm the same way with snus. When I was first trying everything I would come to the realization that with some varieties, while using, I would tend to actually want something else in the lip.

I was glad to have tried the variety, but am happy to now have found my favorites.

                I'm a grov/ettan/granit person for los.

                LS/wise/grov person for portion.

I'm currently awaiting my gotland order. So I think something might change in the near future.

I've decided to do what a few others here have done, and just put my mainstay snus in the signature.

Grov original portiona are my mainstay. I begin each order with a roll of them. I like loose a bit too, so I'll also order a few cans of loose and a few cans of whatever other portions strike my fancy at the time. So then I always have a can of portions and a can of loose open at any one time, and rotate a can of non-Grov portions in whenever the mood strikes me.

My mainstay snus has got to be Skruf Original portions, I can't get enough of them! General portion and Roda white are close seconds, though.

My mainstay portion snus is Knox Portion. It's the only portion brand that I can use on an almost constant basis without getting sick of it. As for my mainstay loose, it's still a tie between Gotlands Yellow and Grov.

I think Retro White might become my mainstay work portion.....

I'd have to say Roda Lacket and Ettan loose are my mainstay everyday brands. However with that said I still have a freezer full of portions and other loose brands so I still mix it up at least once a week.

Just as another heads up, I think Knox is my new favorite snus so far. It friggin rocks, every portion goes straight to my heels!
