actually I was reading up on congestive heart failure and cartiomyopathy last night. I found a real good article that really explains everything well in terms that are easy to understand. Apparently, with our heart conditions we really shouldn't be useing snus. My wife does a lot to keep me eating right and doing all the things the doctor wants me to do. I try real hard to follow the doc directions. But I really don't want to quit snus. We have to have something in this world that we can enjoy. The problem for me is I'm already at stage 2 or stage 3 and I'm too young yet for that. My dad made it to 86 before his congestive heart failiure caught up with him. I will not make it anywhere near that long. heres the link

thanks for the support Dear. After thinking about this I really think a lower nic swedish snus in a popular flavor would go over quite well, especially useing GN high quality tobacco. The other 6mg snus being made by other companys just doesn't taste like snus at all to me.

Guilty! And I know it! Yes, the fact is that I have had quite a go at all of GN's products, and based on what ever factors have conspired on any given day, I have had some bad high nic moments. The only thing I can tolerate is small pris loads of Los, But when I was working I was exerting myself so much that snus had become an issue. I would get woozy with an extreme. I have also been having a problem with the taste of salty snus. And the amount of pepper in the Olde Viking was getting to me. My Grov has turned on me (Salty) and I maintain on Ettan and Flader, although the Flader hits a little hard, but has a great Ederberry taste.

I have tried trickery, pleading, humiliation, more pleading, But GN has this mega nic buisness model, and he is the man. That is why a mini was my answer to the problem, smaller portion rather than a complete reformulation. I just don't understand that as much as he has targeted the high nic segment, why they do not see a niche market in the subtler snus. I mean thunder brought out a mini. Just a 8 mg Vanilla would wind my watch. I see my role as pleading my case (and Yours), and I fully expect GN to take care of developing whatever snus that makes sense for him to stay in business.

The frustration comes from having such unfettered access to him, yet having to cope with a mainstream business flow. Whether or not we get a snus we love has a lot to do with things he/they will never discuss with us. I will always understand that he has a good heart, and the best intentions, although we may have neither.

I mean, after all, what do we really know about what people here want, right? ( Does he actually avail himself to the poll data?). I think we have to except our place as the American (niche) market.

I have a question. Or rather a request that I'm going to mention for several of the members sake...and probably a whole slew of snusners. How bout a 4 or 6mg coffe/van or anything on that order. Whalen and I have heart problems, as surely many people do, and we have to severely limit our salt and nicotine intake as much as possible. Actually we shouldn't have any or either....but we cheat. 8mg has been ok for me and I'm sure I'm ready to decrease my nic intake. Sometimes these 8mg are too much for me. Anything over 8mg I have learned that I just can't handle them at all. I haven't found any decent lower nic snus out there. So I appeal to my Dear friend Mr. GN. Make it a coffe/van and it will appeal to men and women alike. Do it for the children. please

At the rate things are going I'm afraid I'll have to quit snus before long. Thats not something I want to do but my health dictates that I take action soon. If I can find a decent low nic snus I won't have to stop. Snus won't be great for me but a lower nic and salt won't kill me so fast. Whalen knows what I'm talking about here.

I'd love to taste a coffe/vanilla flavor with your high quality tobacco.

I don't have a heart condition, but I too would LOVE a weaker snus that tasted good. 8 mg is OK, but I would be just fine with something in the 4-6 mg range. And as you say PP, the weaker brands out there doesn't taste good, and I don't really want to use minis.

And just think of what could be done with a weaker snus with great tobacco taste and reduced salt. Although I am sure that the stronger tobacco is easier to maintain from batch to batch. I think one thing we all enjoy is a great tasting tobacco, period.

Thanks for coming on and explaining your issues also. I really didn't want to speak for you but I know what you are going thru. And you and I are not the only people that have to control our nic and salt intake. I just don't want to quit snus. There are certain times of the day and evening when I really love to put in a fresh portion. Similar to smoking. Life just wouldn't be woth living without some of these simple pleasures. I really love my coffe/vanilla and I really can't see myself finding another go to snus. I am down to a roll or 2 of c/v now and I need V2 to produce another limited edition or please make it full time again. Now if V2 or Dear Mr. GN would be willing to make a 6 mg that product would appeal to a lot of women also, and of course those of us that have health problems. That would be a good all round flavor to start with.

I love V2 C/V but as I said before I would love to see what GN can produce. His tobacco is quite tasty and should be a great base for any flavoring. So I've started my quest to see if I can get V2 to make up another batch. Getting GN to make some also is just the icing on the cake.

My main concern is another C/V flavor, but if we could get it in a 6 mg that would be fantastic for us and possibly open new doors for the producers. yea.....I'm a pussy

What we are missing here I think, Jokes aside, Is a real discussion on what we would like in a snus, and why, I mean those of us here that have put in our time and have learned the hard way what we want. I think I am not alone in thinking that we are all searching for the "one" snus, and not finding it, C/V excepted, or not. Remember your reaction to thinking GN would make one? I do! I was downright excited!

What I am really interested in, and not fully clear on, is what role all this world wide ban, restriction, and especially Taxation is having on shaping our choices. I know that the portion weight/can weight has tax implications, and has steered the makers to stronger tobacco, hence less product weight/Tax. I for one understand that I must have no clue why these guys make what they do, and why. Not that the Makers are going to spill any beans, I understand why they would not. But are we alone here? Doomed to take crap from Camel and Marlboro? Endless cans of ever Higher nic product? Not every one is a young Dragon chaser.I mean WTF over! (end Rant).

Dear Mr. GN is a businessman and surely has many duties just like all the other snus producers. Its great that he comes here to speak with us casually about snus, family life, etc. No other snus maker has spent as much time with us. We really appreciate having him around.

I imagine that hes been buzy with xtra projects that need his attention and that he will report back to us when he has the time. I'm hoping one day he will come to the USA for whatever reason. I would love to go to dinner with him and have a few drinks.......and a cuban stick.

I am in pretty good health but I stay away from the higher nic products. I just don't enjoy them. I would buy GN products at a lower nic level.

I'm solely using Extreme now and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. The higher nic is fine - it's similar to what I would have got from a cigarette - you know, that satisfaction.
I know I could easily go back to lower nic products which is one of the beautiful things about snus - it's easy to downgrade your nic. But I don't have to so I'm not going to.
However, I think there's a lot to be said for a 4mg product. IF in the future I want to give up, it would be extremely easy to go 22mg, 16mg, 12mg, 8mg down to the 4mg and then quit. But I think that would be self defeating for the snus business.
