    Jakobbsens wintergreen questions

    Hey everybody,

    I have found shop in Portland, OR that sells Jakobbsens wintergreen and mint portions. I have bought a can there a couple times in the past few months. The first can I bought was pretty juicy and I could feel the nicotine quite well in all the portions. This can seems like there is less flavor and no nicotine. The can is good for another 2 months, could I have got a bad can? I shouldn't say I feel no nicotine, some of the portions seem normal. Also they say large portions on the can but they are only 1 gram portions and I believe I have read here that they are only 9mg nicotine. That is low for a strong snus. I like them and will probably try the mint soon. Why do they only contain 20 portions a can?

    Large portion=regular portion. They probably make the distinction for Americans who think Camel makes snus.

    Nicotine= 14mg/g AFAIK

    20 portions per can? The official story is 24 portions don't fit. The real story, is they can sell it at a lower price compared to a tin of 24 portions. It's a numbers game.

      Yeah, not sure where the 9mg rating originates. I've read reviews that list it at 9mg and a google search turned up one site, mysnus.com, that also lists it at 9mg. Pretty much everywhere else it's 14mg and I think the nice nic kick proves it. I thinks it a case of misinformation spreading from one incorrect listing ...

        That sounds good in theory, though it's the same price as General is. I like it enough though that I don't mind

          Last time I compared prices it cost less than General per tin, but was almost exactly the same per weight. I haven't looked in awhile, so I guess that changed. I think Gotland makes a better product, so I don't mind paying more than Swedish Match.

            Well I am fairly new to snus, but portion wise I agree. Jakkobsen portions last a perfect amount of time, are comfortable and satisfying. General portions seem to dry my mouth a bit. General loose is a different story I really like it, and ettan as well. I have never made an online order so my choices are ettan or general for now. I did however buy 10 tins of offroad and odens from another member here recently, should be here this week. If I ever have enough money to make a real order I will give gotlands a try. So far ettan los is my fav.
