Keep Your Damned Bea Arthur Pictures Xob :^P

Against my better judgment I ordered some Phantom Blue and Classic lös in my last order. I have a bunch of open tins of snus atm, so I was going to wait to try the Phantom. Well I know Xob is dying to know if he made a new convert, and tbh I was curious myself, so I went ahead and opened the Blue.

It's not nearly as bad as I expected. It smells like Pine Sol, and has a curious lemon flavor. It's not lemon like in every other snus. It's like bitter lemon zest mixed with lemon lollipops :^D Not unpleasant, but kind of synthetic tasting. There's also some piny notes(Pine Sol? :^O)that are different from other makers evergreen flavors.

All in all, it's not too bad. Definitely usable, though I'm not sure I'll get it again. I still have about 43g to go through so I'll probably firm up my opinion later. I think I would have to list this as a recommended try though(lös only, haven't had portions), if for no other reason than the nice price. Add it to your Buysnus order to make up excess shipping weight, and you may find a cheap snus that you really dig.

I've gotten a Phantom regular and blue for free from buysnus. I've gone through the blue already (haven't opened the original yet - just pulled it from the freezer to start tomorrow). I do have to admit it's much better than I expected. However, my expections were ridiculously low (I didn't pay a dime for them). For filling out shipping on buysnus its not a bad choice. I've had LD and Knox as cheap snus as well and I thought the LD was the best of the bunch (although I don't find offroad flavors too crazy, maybe a little overdone).

However, that said my favorites are still: Onyx, N&J, GR #2, Metropol Peppermint with a whole lot of seconds behind them (I will always have some regular tobacco snus in my pocket). When I think of snus price I always think about comparison to cig prices, and next to that I could afford to use Camel snus (currently $5.35 locally, the most expensive snus I could buy - but one of the worst ) all the time and still end up ahead. Typically $50 in snus will last me around a month (or more) and that's about 1/3 the cost of smokes. Bottom line - snusing is a relatively inexpensive habit if you're a former smoker.

Not for me!! in Argentina a pack of Phillip Morris (20 cigs) cost 1.10 U$D, and a Marlboro Box, 1.26 U$D . But I'm a happy snuser anyway: I'm really happy that I changed cigarettes for snus!

I kinda like the Phantom Blue. And I have very specific tastes. Buysnus threw in a free can with my last order and I will be ordering it with my next order as an occasional snus.

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

Holy moley! $1 for cigs? Typically around here camel's run $4.50/pack - must be US and state taxes!

I took my regular Phantom to work today. The flavor doesn't last more than a hour, but I think I detect a mocha or coffee flavor to them. I was surprised because I expect a more tobacco flavor to them. Not bad at all, again for the price.

Hmmm. Cant say that I have ever tasted coffee in it. Then again, I have never tried the portions. The Los is a rather heavy peppery (very peppery) tobacco with a nice citrus undertone

Yeah, we produce tobacco here in Argentina, so the cost of production is in pesos. I've heard that most of it price is taxes.. but in dollars that is really cheap. There's a lot of smokers in Argentina, after the "non smoking in public places bill" was approved last year, it is becoming almost as hard as in north america to be a smoker.
well, the anti tobacco thing is still bigger in the north, yesterday here in Montreal I saw how the convenient stores have to "hide" the cigarettes displays... like this:
