Skruf Quality

So I am quite a fan of the Skruf Xtra Stark. I am still new to snus and the first can I had of the stuff the flavor was great. But a buddy of mine brought over a can and I took a pris of it, and it was moist and nice in the lip like Skruf los seems to have a reputation for and had a good nic hit but the flavor was weak. I have read since the buyout their flavoring is weaker.

Do you guys actually think the quality has been lowered or have they just dropped their control on quality? I find there to be a large difference between the two. The first scenario would yield the products quality being lowered across the board whereas the second scenario would mean the quality is there but there is a wide range of variation. Either way it sucks. I just bought a roll of the skruf xtra stark along with some other goodies before I had a pris of my friends can. I hope they all are good!

Anyone want to give insight on if they have had more flavorful cans than others? Or was it all at once, every can you had after a certain point was low on flavor?

Just saw in the professionals/manufacturers thread someone posted that Skruf was having issues with production and some lines may be unavailable. I guess if this is true it would be a good thing because then we would know they aren't purposefully lowering flavor quality.

I bought a roll of skruf stark los over the summer, they were the new black cans, I finished them all, but the taste was differant then the familiar old skruf.. It tasted more fruity like rose oil and less citrusy like bergamot. It was good and differant, but i liked the old recepie better.

I love Skruf Stark Portions and Stark los. It's the nuts. I find the Xtra lacks a hint of the rose-oil so is a bit plainer maybe.

Yeah some say the stark has more flavor, and some say the xtra stark has more of a bite. I guess I need to try the stark, I'm just a nic junky so I love the xtra stark.

I am just curious as to why 1 can tasted perfect to me and the one my friend has was just ... decent.

It must be qulity control issues rather than a definitive drop in quality/flavor.

I couldn't tell the difference between the two in terms of nic just noted the Xtra had less of a freshness in terms of smell/flavour straight out the fridge. But, whatever works for you is best to do...

Some people found Skruf okay after the buyout. Myself, I stopped buying Skruf because it was no longer the same snus I'd been enjoying for so long. I suspect I wouldn't have minded it had I not used mostly Skruf Stark for a year before the buyout, as I think maybe cutting my teeth on that version got me too attached to it. I can't stomache the new flavour though. Every time I buy a can I spit out a pis in five minutes.

I hear you shikitohno but for those of us that don't know any better it is one of the best god damn snus products out there.

shikitohno - So you find the flavor has just changed to a flavor you don't care for? Or the quality of flavor has declined?
