Is 22 Mg/g to strong for regular daily use?

OK- I cut my teeth on Regular General and the Camel Mint...with Nicotine (about) 8 Mg/g... both of which helped get me off the cigs.

Then they came out with Thunder Frosted... with Nicotine (about) 16 Mg/g... great stuff... I fell in love with it and it is still part of my regular daily rotation.

Now Oden's Extreme and Swedish Match 06 have Nicotine (about) 22 Mg/g. I can only do a total max of three portions per day... anymore, and I get a headache. Additionally, if I have a 22 Mg/g three hours before bed, I have problems falling asleep!

What have your experiences been with the Nicotine (about) 22 Mg/g snus?

I rarely do the extreme honestly.. I like the flavor but I don't really like the extra nic. Now if you really like the extreme flavor check out the new odens op. It has the same pepper taste.

Yeah, it's not really necessary. Don't get yourself more addicted than you already are, especially if you don't feel well with it. Personally, I don't have these issues; my tolerance is probably through the roof though. I usually go through about 3 or 4 exteme portions per day.

My all time favorite snus in portion (and lös being a close runner-up) is the old Gajane-produced Odens Extra Stark, which I believe is listed at 17mg or thereabouts. Also in my tight lineup is Odens Extreme Portion, at 22mg. When I'm really looking for a nic hit, I go with with the old Odens ES everytime. This may sounds weird but... when I'm looking to dial back the nicotine and use something a bit more longer lasting I'll reach for an Extreme. Must be the ph levels, but after several rolls of Extreme, I can safely say that it's less potent than the old ES. Of course that is just my observation, it's not like I busted out the beakers and test tubes. Anyway, my tolerance and preference leans heavily on the higher (or highest) nic snus, so for me it's not a problem. I do not chainsnus though, but I do end up using a lot though, in short durations, anywhere from 10 minutes to 30, and almost never more than 30.

with the los it is a little easier to controle the nic. With extreme I just uses a smaller pris, However, I suspect the protions would be a little over powering for me

I'm not sure this helps much.........so I will second the reccomendation to try the regular strength portions. They are excellent

I usually have a prilla (or portion) of Oden's Extreme during the day, but I like to start the morning and end the night with a mellow snus.

I really like the taste of Oden's Extreme and 59; because of this, I have just put a order in for Oden's Regular and Olde Viking... similar taste with less nic. I also like the fact that the Olde Viking will last me for 3+ hours. The bottom line, for me at least, seems to be 16 Mg/g are ok on a regular basis... but only 1 or 2 22 Mg/g portions per day.

Until snus, I never realized how much of a stimulant nicotine really is. Personally, I save the extreme portions for stressful situations or times when I'll be drinking around smokers. But as time goes on, smoking has less and less pull on me so I imagine I'll soon reach a point where high-nic portions are unnecessary.

All I have had from oden's is the extreme los. I can't say I was a fan of the taste. The pepperiness of it made me cough and as somehow who has associated "tobacco taste" with a can of cope longcut straight it threw me off a bit. As I have now learned that "tobacco taste" relies on a number of different factors. That being said I never felt anything from the extreme los. I feel like the nicotine comes out bit by bit in comparison to others that come out faster. Although i prefer los i've gotten a bigger kick from thunder coffee and frosted los. Actually I never felt the nic hit from odens extreme los. I'm still relatively new to snus coming from dip so I havent had a nicotine buzz in almost six years but those thunders......they made me feel something. not quite a buzz but something. Thats just my input though

Thunder I agree, Thunder does hit harder than extreme. To be honest if you would of handed me a can of extreme los, told me it was 10-12 mgs I'd believe you after trying it.

I've never gone above 16mg. I tried General Ekstra Sterk (16mg) after a year of regular daily snus usage, and it caused some mild nausea; enough to not want snus that strong.

Nowadays, after 3 or so years, my daily snus(es) are Ettan OP (8mg) and General Long Sterk (14mg?) I find even the Ettan OP to be plenty of nicotine. I just use the General when I want a tingly burn in the lip.

The way I look at it -- if anyone becomes dependent on superlevels of nicotine, they should really consider toning it down a peg or two. Just my $0.02!

I have to be little skeptic about Odens being 22 mg. It doesn't hit to me as much as Thunder strong or Skruf. I have been snusing for 5-6 years now and my tolerance is quite high, but Odens doesn't feel that much different than for example General extra sterk... Maybe with people who have just started or haven't been snusing for long and immediately go for Odens it feels like the world explodes. Unfortunately because of the lovely EU I cant get my hands on SM snus anymore and cant get my tolerance lower with ''regular'' snus so I could try if Odens hits me as hard as people here say. I miss the feeling when you feel like you are drunk when you put some sweet los in.

This is pretty much my experience. I use Skruf Extra Stark and Jacobsson's Flader, portions, exclusively right now. Some days I use mostly Skruf, some days the Flader, and I don't notice a difference between the two. Never felt anything from Oden's Extreme.

Havent had the pleasure of trying skruf yet. I choose only to order from U.S based sites as my tabacco tax in my state is low so its not worth the trouble of ordering overseas. I've had a few kinds of general and thunders as well at ettan and offroad. In terms of nic hit ive only felt anything from thunder. I'd love to try some olde viking ginger/lime the flavor sounds incredible. But as far as odens extreme goes.....i'd take some if someone offered it or if it was selling at a great price but the pepperiness of it is just really offputting, nothing wrong with the flavor itself i'm not knocking it by any means its just not something i find tastes good.

After 15 cans of Extreme and Extreme 59 los, I can safely say that General Ekstra Sterk los hits me harder. I think the Odens is a longer release, whereas the GES hits upfront.
