- 2001 I sold my beloved boat to SEK 20 000 to start my business, he says. This year I bought a new boat. It felt great.
Henrik Jakobsson born in and when his family is no entrepreneurial tradition. He has an uncle who is a fisherman, but otherwise, the family consisted of employees.
- I do not really know what has driven me but I have no tradition in the family. I worked at Flextronics as quality coordinator and was fired when the company was disbanded. That's when I started experimenting at home at the kitchen counter with snus.
The ideas were supported
This experiment was however not last very long. He has a wife, Veronica, and she did not like the smell.
So it was to move out of the garage. There continued experimentation that has now been shown to have generated good results.
Some people in the immediate family and circle of friends believed in Henry and his ideas.
- One of them was Jorgen Lime Rock who worked at the Employment Service. He coached me really and I have much to thank him for. I also got a good lawyer who has helped me with all papers.
On the way to something bigger
Another coach, as Henrik Jakobsson mention, is Kent Sandh.
- He was the brother with Bengt Sandh who had a snuff business.Bengt sold his business to Swedish Match for ten million and moved to Spain. But his brother had great knowledge of snuff manufacture and came with many good tips.
Of course he was happy, Henrik Jakobsson.
- I understand now that I've done something great and is about to do something even bigger, he says. The demand for snus in the world is how much any time. I want to keep working and developing new varieties and we have fun at the company. It's so nice people who are here tonight and cheering. I am so happy.
Young entrepreneur
Another who is very proud and happy about its price is Mats Ekström, Lojsta. He runs his business at Bjäre with 200 dairy cows. He received the award this year's young entrepreneurs.
- It feels good to agriculture finally has taken place in the industry, says Mats Ekström. And when we are young can take place and kick the guys so it will be good.
Mats Ekström also runs a company with a pig with his father, Ulf Ekström.
Full house salon
- if you dare hire you get more time to develop their businesses, says Mats Ekström. And I like to employ young people and see how they grow in their duty.
Tommy Ivarsson and Babben Larsson presented Laureates and students at Visby dance school offered a fantastic dance number that raised the mood of the crowded room at Wisby Strand.
