    Swedish Match Canadian products

Well, waiting for an order to come in and it looks like it won't get here until next week. I had to go to a local tobacco shop to get a couple tins to get me through the until it arrives. They sell General, but nothing like I have seen at any of the online retailers.

General "Original", which is a white portion packaged in the star pattern 24 * 1 gram portions for $10.50. General "Fresh Taste", a white mini portion 25 * 0.5 gram portions for $10.50, and General "Smooth Taste" which I didn't buy because it was $12.50.

What I find interesting is that the nicotine is way jacked up for these things - 17mg/g for Original, 15mg/g for the Fresh Taste, and I believe it was 16mg/g for the Smooth taste. Not that I mind, I use sterks mostly anyways.

The proprietor says they are distributed here by Benson and Hedges. I asked him next time the sales rep is in to see if he can get any lös in stock.

So they can do mini portions with more than 20 per can!

They could cram 50 of the little buggers in there. I'm just trying to figure out why I can buy what's been imported here for retail sale is so different than what I have seen from the online stores. Plus, there is no catch lid.

Wow, I'm surprised the 1g portions have 17mg of nicotine. It's nice the mini portions contain around 8mg of nicotine per portion.

Same here. In fact, I have some General ES portion and lös coming in my delayed order that only weigh in at 15 or so - can't remember exactly. So I don't fear running out as much as I did prior to buying this locally.

The only thing I can compare the Original to is Onyx, which I just finished a couple of days ago. It seems to be a lot milder than the Onyx, but tasty as well. The minis are pretty good as well. Tasty minty.

I was prepared to get some dip which I have absolutely no experience with but a tin of Copenhagen was 14 bucks and change! So I declined.

Oh well, just thought it might be interesting to some to see how SM is trying to market their stuff in another corner of the world.

Wow snus in "Canuckistan" (thanks to lxskllr to introducing me to this nickname for Canada) is expensive and looks so different...but it's nice to see they are selling snus there at all.
