Snus box Idea

I've been looking for a segmented container to conveniently carry different (portion) flavors. I've looked at some of the snus boxes out there, but none of them seem to work for multiple varieties.

I think I've come up with a solution.

There are several companies that make fly fishing boxes. Here is a link to one: http://www.cabelas.com/link-12/produ...9315995a.shtml

The smaller yellow one is 3 1/4 inch by 2 1/2 inch by 1" deep, with 10 different compartments of varying sizes. Looks to be fairly air tight.

Anyone else tried this?

I would be concerned about my snus inheriting that "plasticy" tacklebox smell.

If you used it from the get go for snus you should not have that plastic tackle box smell. I have used something similar when I was using portions, the only problem you may have is that some are not as air tight as they look and if you load them up you will defiantly notice a difference in the moisture content of the last few.

I just use a little square pill box that fits 6 portions perfectly.

it's not air tight, but I tend to only throw in what I know I'll use.

It's perfect for having a snus while umpiring high school baseball.

Can't have that round tin on you around those coaches.

would the flavours blend in a box like that? I like the idea of something to carry around that i could put in 3 or 4 different portions in, but am afraid that the flavours would blend and all taste the same.

A cheaper idea may be to just get two strips of card with slots cut in to make an X .. placed inside an old snus tin, enough to split 4 varieties.
If that isn't enough compartments then perhaps create something like thats found inside the swedish match selection boxes, a small card grid, although you'd only probably be able to put 1-2 portions in each.
