Camel Snus - available in NYC or NJ?

In July, I will be in Manhattan and New Jersey for a few days. I'm curious to try the Camel snus. Is it available there? Where to buy? At gas stations?

I would also like to try some dip. Anything to start with, you would recommend to a chainsnuser but dipping newbe?

    Hi,

From what I've heard, Camel Snus is available in NYC, it should be almost national by now. It's not bad, but I find the flavor much too sweet for my liking compared to the saltiness I love from Swedish snus. I would recommend you try the Spice variety, it has a very interesting character of clove that you might enjoy. It should be available at most gas stations or tobacconists. If you find yourself in Manhattan without enough snus, you can always go to a store called Shisha International to buy some. I've heard they carry General and Catch, mostly, but snus nonetheless.

As for "dip", when I was smoking cigarettes, I occasionally used dip tobacco for situations where I could not smoke. I have to admit, I never finished a single can of dip in my whole life, simply because I always preferred to smoke. However, the one dip I've ever really enjoyed was Skoal Spearmint.
It has a very refreshing taste of spearmint with a spicy tobacco taste. It's the most palatable dip, in my opinion, and should be your first choice when you decide to try it. Also, for a chain snuser, I think you may be quite satisfied with dip as it generally contains more nicotine than even snus, and it hits you very quickly, so be careful you may not be able to stand up afterwards

Hope I could be of help to you, and enjoy your trip to the United States.

I Second Shisa International. They carry a limited line of General, plus Camel Snus, plus Red Man dip, which has a pretty good recommendation.

The store is located on West 4th street, between sixth avenue and seventh avenue on the north side.

If you want a more varied assortment of dip, it's available across the street at another tobacconist.
