    Compare the snus salt taste

    Hi,

Since I haven't gotten my hands on any snus this weekend, I was wondering about salt taste. If you could compare your favorite brand to a food type (ie McD fries) what would you say?

Reason I am asking this, i have high blood pressure (since 1986) and have not used any extra salt on food, so I am sensitive to heavy salt content.

Anyway, thanks in advance for the replies!

I eat a rather low salt diet myself ( no health problems, let's keep it that way) and was quite aware of the salt in most snus when I first started. Some of them are still salty to me, but the lowest salt flavor ones to me are v2 snus. Thunder, Phantom and Offroad. Especially Phantom.

I think there is a chart floating around here somewhere with salt content. I will post it if I find it.

        Thanks for the links!

So far the salt in Generals white is quite tolerable.

Los tastes less salty to me and I prefer it but for actual sodium content I am not sure.

I would say this General white I just finished tasted like a good plate of fresh fries with real sea salt.

So yeah, my ciggies are done for good I think

I have to rub my hands and feet in Epsom salt.

Then congratulations! I like General a lot and I don't find any of their snus too salty. Strangely one snus I do think tastes too salty is Ettan white, which I think actually has a lower salt content. I think it's just me and I think it's just because I don't find it very flavorful. But the Ettan original are fantastic, and I think you're well on your way to converting. The salt taste you get used to, and I highly doubt there's enough salt in snus to affect your blood pressure. It's certainly better for you than smoking!

And as someone else mentioned, I've yet to find a los that tastes even remotely salty.
