Triumph Snus

Hi all. I live in Dublin, a suburb of Columbus. All that's available to me here is the Camel, Tourney and Triumph Snuses. At first I was going back and forth trying to figure out which one would be my snus of choice, and I've never had experience with snus, so I didn't know what I was looking for. I quickly found that the Triumph was light years ahead of the other two in flavor, nic quantity, moistness and all around snusness.

Any other thoughts on Triumph from those who have tried it? I know it's not the 'real' swedish stuff, but it's the best I can get and it's quite good.

By the way, the cost is $1.49 plus tax so it comes to $1.60 total with Ohio taxes!!!

I haven't tried Triumph, but from what I have read here, it is MUCH closer to real snus then the Camel candy that they try and pass off as snus. The cost you are paying can't be beat. Better than just about anything you would pay buying from Sweden.

Triumph is great. People who have been able to try it on these forums have given it nothing but good remarks.

Its made by swedish match to my knowledge and is put out by another company.

The flavor goes well beyond 2 hours and when you take the pouch out chances are itll still have flavor.

Go with triumph.

Grim is correct. It’s made by Swedish Match, Imported by Lorillard Tobacco Co, made in Sweden, it’s on the back of the tin. I have had both Original and Mint. I agree this is longest tasting snus that I have experienced. Taste, nic hit, price, and quantity is superior to the Camel line. It's one of my top favorites.

I quite like the Triumph original. It has an old natural chew flavor with a certain sweetness that I have been calling a "peach" flavor.

I just bought what was left in the display box of my loacal smoke shop, about 15 cans, and they gave me the display. There were two clerks behind the desk. They whipped out a new one and one told the other, "we gotta tell the rep to bring us this stuff more often!" Hopefully that's a good sign. I'd hate to see Triumph die on the vine.
The display, which is really a cardboard dispenser, worked out fantastic for me. I loaded it with all the random snus in my freezer and organized my stash.
Plus it was still at the promo price of $1.59. :lol:
Later the same week I stopped at a smoke shop in a different town to get some triumph for another forum member and the clerk told me his rep told him the final price won't go up much from the special offer cans.

I am still lucky to be getting free tins from the gas station stores. But even at 2 bucks I would buy it. the Camel snus is selling for 4.25 here in Atlanta so if Triumph is selling for half it should wipe the floor with Camel. Better product better price can't go wrong.

I'm from GA and like I said in another post, Grim introduced me to snus all together. Its funny though because I was introduced first to the swedish products of several brands and fell in love way before I decided to get the Triumph. Even when I decided to give it a shot I didn't even have to buy it. I noticed the display saying "free with cigarette purchase". My girlfriend has even started snusing a good bit but still smokes cigarettes occasionally, though I have quit cigs completely now. At first they wouldnt give me the snus because they said I had to purchase newports but I quickly argued that (and I'm no racist or anything) the people that typically smoke Newport cigs are not going to be interested in snus. I said that for all the packs of Newport they sell in a day they could let a can go to me when I purchase a pack of Camel for my gf. The store manager agreed with my logic and now they will give me a can of Triumph pretty much whenever I go to that store. Now that being said, I still favor the Swedish varieties that I have tried but really and truly, the Triumph is pretty freakin' good! I have been jokingly calling it my desert snus because of the traditional american "chew" flavor but it reminds me of peaches too. The mint flavor would be a great way to convert "dippers" I think because I know a lot of people who use Skoal Mint and things like that. I had the mint flavor in one night when I was playing poker at a restaurant and a woman asked me if she could have one of my breathmints. I quickly whipped out the can on the green poker felt and she just laughed at me but nobody had any clue that I had snus in my mouth. So Triumph has a real potential around here but they are going to have to try a new marketing stategy if they really want to sell it because Newport smokers do not tend to be interested in oral tobacco products.

Last night I fell asleep on the couch and woke up about five hours later with the Triumph regular flavor in my mouth. The pouch still had the flavor even after that long, which I thought was amazing.

OK pals project for the evening is take on can of Triumph portions and and bust the entire can out to loose and toss the tea bags. Tea bags goin on eBay later. I imagine what I wind up will need a bit of rehydration to bake properly. I suspect with a few drops baking will go well due to their beautiful state in the can when first opened.

I'm gonna bake a huge prilla, slam that shiite high and hard, pour out some woodford reserve with a splash of pepsi and mellow out.

Purely as an experiment I have nothing to lose. If I have a bad experience I'll simply pinch out my newly liberated loose Triumph into a couple of the cans I'm not in love with to bring their taste up a notch.

I've done this. The snus is great as a loose. extremely fine grind like Prima Fint. Just be careful with how much you bake. I've found when I loose some snus that was originally in a portion, the nic hits harder and faster than a true los.
