Don't I know it. When I was using both strong snus AND electronic cigarettes, that first day I nearly went into a stupor, couldn't walk properly and my speech was slurred, and yes I just about passed out.

      The lesson?: show nicotine respect!

I get like that after chain snusing sterks/extra sterks together with drinking lots of coffee. Slurred speech, blurred vision, sensitive hearing, etc. I also can't walk properly because my body gets tense and shaky.

Yeah, I don't use sterks before bed anymore. And no snus when I sleep.

I don't really get insomnia, but i do have a little trouble getting to sleep if i've been on the 22mgs for the last part of the day. Snus does make me have mad dreams.

Ok, something is weird about snus and sleep, at least for me. Yesterday I had only extra stark snus and one Coffee Supreme (8 mg), and in the night, I finished off with a Jakobssons Mint, 14 mg. I had a few beers before in the day and when I went to sleep, I fell out of bed.

This has happened quite a lot of times recently, and exclusively when I have an extra stark before bed. I don't know what the hell this is about, I never had this problem when I smoked, and didn't have it when I was little as well. This is very strange. I don't feel any particular effect anymore by extra starks, and didn't feel strung out before I went to sleep, but still I must have rolled over too far sometime in the night and ended up on the floor.

This never happens when I use 8 mg either.

Has anyone had this problems? I mean what the hell.

not sure if snus has anything to do with you falling out of bed

but surely snus causes insomnia in my case as well

                Hahaha I know, it's insane!

I'm sure it's the snus, because if I refrain from snus one or a few hours before bed, or just use minis or 8 mg, I sleep like a log. I don't get insomnia from snus really, but I can wake up and feel strange in the middle of the night and have weird vivid dreams, and of course rolling out of bed. I think I'll set a time in the evening where I stop using sterks. But this is fscking ridiculous. I want to be able to enjoy sterks in the nights as well without having these kind of strange problems.

I just started snusing again after a 2 month smoking period and now I want to quit smoking for good because I have already relapsed twice last year -

Anyways I find snus now VERY strong, even the white portions, and if I get in bed with a portion in I get very jittery and agitated, not to mention that I can hardly focus on my laptop while snusing either, the nicotine buzz is just so strong and probably that's why the insomnia and jittery feeling and allll ...........

maybe in your case you were agitated and just fell out of the bed looooool

I have thought about that too. When I smoked and tried snus for one of the first times, I tried a Catch Mini Licorice, and I buzzed my ass off and felt sick. Now I don't have that problem, but probably I am, without knowing it, insanely buzzed on nicotine 24/7 and continue to raise the nicotine level bar in my body because nicotine from snus stays in the blood for so long time. I mean, if a mini portion can have that effect on me when I was a smoker, I can imagine it still has a strong effect, but now, without noticing it because my tolerance is higher.

I'll refrain from sterks/extra sterks at least 3-4 hours before bed now and see if it makes any difference.

It might also be internal stress from being a teenager who have to get out in the world and find a job soon also... I don't know lol.

Hahaha, it's still ridiculous that this happens. Never experienced anything like this in my life.

                      told ya'

I never fell out of my bed, but it can be possible (most of the times I sleep in one single position, so I don't move much at all) at least I notice my same position every morning ........... but snus can mess up with you though, especially if you sleep with snus in ...... I even got sleep paralysis once from snus and vivid dreams ...dozens of times.....

I don't doubt it could also be from stress, because I'm also stressed and anxious like hell lately because I don't smoke anymore.............. and snus hits me like it never did before.... you need to be really calm when you snus...... I've seen people literally freaking out from a portion of ekstra sterk lol

I remember those strong urges during the nights of having to wake up and go smoke in the dark.

Hey heders, have you tried snuff? I've noticed in the past that I'd be wired up from snus and would have a bit of insomnia. Now I take my last snus after supper and will snuff before bed and haven't had any problems since. I find McChrystals O&G or Toque Lavender are very nice to use just before turning in.

I have a crapload of snuff actually, and love it, but since I'm pretty much wired on nicotine because of all the extra sterks I haven't really found a good time to grab a pinch. I have done this before bed a few times, but haven't really thought about making it a daily before-bed habit. I will keep doing it for real from now on though! Thank you!

I have insomnia to begin with. 150 mg of trazodone knocks me out unless I have a snus in.

I'm a hardcore swedish snuser and I've been sleeping with snus for years. At first I was afraid I would choke in my sleep but now I'm way beyond such cowardly thoughts. So if snus doesn't help you sleep the only cure is more snus! It's a well known fact here in Sweden: you can't overdose on snus.
