Los Snus Sampled

I recently tried some los snus and must say i do enjoy having the choice of the amount i want.

But i just dont taste the flavors. Like with Gotlands gul. I put a pinch in and nothing really. I tasted some salt and what eventually came through in about 30 mins was great but it soon disapated.

Im hearing alot of people who love grov and general but i was wondering if these flavorings are also kinda bland.

I like pure tobacco flavor...not too big in flavored snuff/snus, but im open to try some grov. Just hope it hits the palate stronger.

I played with Los a few months ago, and that is one of the reasons I just didn't find it too compelling. I find portions to be much more flavorful, and can play with them to maximize the flavor.

well you can suck on portions but if you do it with loose you get a big mess. Yes, the Grov is pretty mellow. Ettan too. Last night I put in a portion of Skruf Stark and I don't call it mellow. It is strong. I found Lucky Strike to be strong tasting... but that was a portion. Skruf Stark comes in loose, so if you like something rough and strong, maybe that would work for you. I found the portions to be too strong for me. I do not know if the budget Knox portions or loose are as rough. I am getting some Knox portions hopefully today or the beginning of next week. I hope they are mellower than the Skruf so i don't have to throw them out.

you know you might want to try some grizz snuff. It tastes good and even has a metal lid on it. Under two bucks a can locally in TN. I think we get Copenhagen for 550 or so for two cans. Same with Skoal. If you like a good taste, Skoal Straight is darn good. It has just a hint of Wintergreen and is sweet.

I used snuff for years. Copenhagen snuff/ Redman natural. Got tired of getting canker sores. Never like the Straight flavors at all..too sweet. I use snus now because of no need to spit and its healthier.

I just was hoping that los would pack a bigger kick than portions and although i do like the full lip feeling with los.. it has no flavor.

I have some cans of general and gotesborg rape los coming hopefully i will see a difference.

Now i like the wet Gotlands green portions. I didnt taste the fake apple flavor everyone else seems to complain about. I got a nice refreshing flavor with the bitterness of near ripe persimons ( just not as extreme ).

I have General Onyx portions which are great but they r dry portions and i hate the fact i have to wait 10 mins to get any real flavor.

Seems original portions are the way to go for flavor. I have some Jakobsons on the way to sample and hope ill like them.

But so far my staple portions are Gotlands Green. My Los is yet to be determined . But hopefully something with some flavor will be made in los version. I like natural tobacco flavor and the peppery citrus blend....just seems regualr snus is bland in los form.

You may want to try Goteborgs Rape' #2. I tried it recently, and although I liked #1 moderately and disliked the white portion aspect, #2 is a very interesting experience as a flavored white portion, in many ways. This is the closest snus comes to representing Sweden in general, in my opinion. Very precise and very charismatic. I'm looking forward to trying #1 loose.
