    Retro Vit (white) Surprise

I got my first most recent order in on Friday and am slowly testing some of the ones I have never tried yet. Didn't like the Phantom Blue right off the bat. Because of the intrigue of the Nick and Johnny East, I tried it and it reminded me of the Camel Spice. I don't care so much for it and would probably feel guilty throwing them out, but don't really see myself using them as a regular... because of the extra tastes. Maybe with a cappuccino... They really are OK, not horrible like the Phantom Blue.

Tried the Retro Vit (white?) and it was.... really great! As I looked at the buysnus description, I saw that the weight is only 19 grams instead of the traditional 24. So, I guess they are somewhere between a mini and a full portion. Yes, the can says 19.2 grams and this is for 2 dozen portions. But the can is smaller a bit too because it is chock full. The taste is phenomenal though. I am going to have to try my other portions to compare it with them, because it had a familiarity to it like..... 'this is the good stuff'. I don't know if it reminded me of Roda Lacket or Gotesborg Rape. Something I liked a lot.

Right now I have a General portion in the Retro is definitely not reminiscent of General Original Portions. Its more mellow and just a good tasting snus. I might compare it to the Ettan White portions I have yet to try.

Retro Vit is a bit cheaper than the Roda Lacket. The portion size is medium. It tastes darn good. Great for all around use. Not too big, not too small. Just perfect! I think this is a definite keeper.

did you find what I found re: Retro White Portions?

I've only had the original portion, not the white. I don't recall any weight difference in them. I found the flavor to be similar to Grov, with a little something extra(herbs?). It's a very good snus, and I may end up getting more in the future, but as I stated in my other thread, I need to chill out a bit :^D

I've recently fallen in love with Retro as my budget snus, I prefer them over both Knox and Granit. I agree that it is similar to RL but maybe a little less sweet and with what seems to be a touch of juniper berries and rose water. A little like Goteborgs Surprise Sex but a little more subtle. They do seem a little smaller under my lip than most portions, it seems that the portion bags are a little longer. Maybe it's less snus in the portion but still 8mg of nicotine and the flavor lasts a while. I've noticed the Granit portions seem longer and less full also but the flavor doesn't last as long as Retro. Still haven't tried the white but the regular ones don't juice for me so I don't have a need to try them. This is also a great one to try for those that don't like salty snus flavors.

I just opened my tin of Retro White and I forgot how much I really liked them. To me at least, the flavor is better than the regular retro. Well balanced, lasts a long time. Really, really yummy.

I like the tin very much also, the rounded edges are elegant and the colors make me think of chocolate for some reason. It makes me think of 'Aero', a chocolate bar I enjoyed during my youth in the UK.

I use the Retro whites most days and they have a good fresh taste, last forever, and are "clean," with very little juicing and tooth browning.
