I don't know if you guys have already talked about this, but I checked Google and nothing so I thought I'd give you a heads up.
I read last year that General was going to start selling special americanized portion snus in the US to a chorus of yawns.
Then about a month ago, a General mini-fridge filled with round, not oblong like they wrote about, cans of what appears to be normal, non-americanize General snus appeared at my local QuikTrip.
They stock 4 kinds: Original, White, Mint and Wintergreen. There're $3.99 per 24 portion can which is about 30% less than Camel snus per portion.
Hooray!
The thing is, NO ONE is buying them. There are no promotions or advertising. I'm afraid that unless Swedish Match gets on the ball, they're going to be pulled from the market.
Geez, Camel snus are so meh, I was down to 2 or 3 a day.
I guess they think their stuff is so awesome people will be inexplicably drawn to trying out their product.
