Just flew a month ago and had alll my snus in carry on and had one can in my pocket. The TSA agent who saw me put it in the tray noticed the can and asked me if it was any good. I would have offered him some but he was on the job. We had a short discussion about how much better snus is than dip and I was off on my way.

I flew to Munich (through London) with about 7 tins of snus in my carry-on last year with no issues. To be honest, the thought of worrying about my snus didn't even enter my mind. I was more worried about all the vaping gear (two devices plus batteries/atomizers/liquid) that I was carrying on. The only slight hiccup I had was on the way back in the Munich airport. In my haste, I forgot to take the cartomizer off of one of my devices. Of course, security wondered what it was and asked if they could open my bag. While going through the bag, he opened the compartment with my large baggie of snus tins, lifted it out of the way, and continued searching. I showed him the e-cig, and that satisfied him. He repacked my bag and sent me on my way.

I also used snus through the entire flight without anyone batting an eye. Again, it never even occurred to me that I might not be allowed to.
