Some taste problems with snus sources

Ok, this has been on my mind for some time now. I have quite a collection of pre pact snus, and they are all still quite good, but since I live in Maryland and have been banned from internet or mail ordering from my Wise ass Governor, I still "acquire" snus when possible. I have had several rolls of Ettan and Grov wind their way to me straight from Sweden, and they are perfect in every way with quite a bit of best by date remaining.

I have also gotten several rolls of the same that rolled their way over here via the famous warehouse in Pennsylvania, and while they remain within their best by dates, they are always much closer to them. But what is bugging me is that every one of the cans has very pronounced salt compared to direct from Sweden cans. Side by side tasting has confirmed this without a doubt, and I am getting tired of this off balanced taste. I find myself cherry picking the non US warehouse cans. I could see a can or two or a batch problem, but i am starting to wonder about handling and storage of domestic cans. I only mention this because it is without a doubt real, and i have not enjoyed sucking down rolls of muted tasting salty ass snus.

Any body else have any experience with this? Coin is always tight around here and I try to avail myself of all backdoor channels for supply, but I am convinced that the only way to get fresh tasting snus is to place a horrendously expensive order direct to the Swedish suppliers. I am not blaming the transshipping involved, I have obtained direct from the US warehouse snus that exhibit this not so fresh taste. So I guess I am wondering if the shipping to the US is having a negative affect on quality. And am I the only one noticing this? It is a mystery so far. All I want is fresh tasting snus, I mean I have 2009 product that tastes a hell of a lot better than 2012 expiry snus, these are all Grov or Ettan.

Awhile back for some reason my Offroad Longcut seemed to taste like battery acid everytime I ordered from GetSnus. My guess at the time was a refrigeration issue or possibly crates sitting in the hot sun. The fact remains there was a totally different product coming from Sweden Buysnus verses GetSnus. It really was night and day in the flavor. Never noticed it with other product other the sometimes having drier then normal portions.
