Toque , here are my recommendations :

1) plain tobacco ( could be from different regions , like turkish , oriental , indian , etc) or using a combination of plain tobacco and a light flavour
2) A decent vanilla
3) a nice mint
4) Cigar leaf tobacco with rum or other spirits
5) a traditional regional taste ( like capturing the essence of a place in a snus by using local flavours )

Just simply something new and revolutionary ! I wish you best of luck !

Honestly, I think that Cherry Menthol idea would be a quite brilliant combination. I believe it could be a home run in both los and portion form. Especially in the United States where menthol and cherry are both quite popular flavors.

This might sound a bit crazy. Wait.... after reading some of the above posts it seems perfectly sane , but how about pistachio? Like the flavour in pistachio pudding or ice cream? I think just a hint of it would be nice. Perhaps it would be suited for a snuff as well? Not sure about that one as I haven't tried the snuff yet but after reading up about it here I'll be giving it a shot very soon.

Roderick - This thread was a little weird with references to SP and fragrance. Taste and smell battling it out in my mind. The smell of course is not important at all as far as a snus goes, the important thing is to select a base tobacco that has a great taste and no bitter finish to it. That is the base for whatever flavor you want, but the base flavor should be a rich natural tobacco. That would be half your market right there, and then you can add on the flavors. A little bergomot here and a little vanilla there, and you have a product, but start with one that needs nothing, ala Ettan. It means Number one and it still is.

My bussines is slow in the winter,so I am selling some snus on the side.Except Skruf,all the people want is Thunder berry,wintegreen,frosted and Jak icefruit.They don't want try anything else if it's not flavored and strong even if it's way cheaper

Of course it is illegal,I don't have any store.I am selling some snus on online auction(kind of like local ebay) and rest of the snus I sell to one bar ,which has a lot of clients(hockey players).Snus is getting more and more popular here among athletes and hipsters.If you wanna keep up with the cool guys,you have to use snus or makla...
Only problem I have is with customs lately.They seized two orders from snusline even that they were under 22EUR limit and I had to pay taxes.It looks like my name is on some " red flag" list

Well, if you’re importing more than is considered appropriate for personal consumption, then yes. They WILL be watching you!!
