hmm, gas cheaper in Finland than in Romania? Now that means we're really screwed. (a gallon in romania is about $9 - $10 depends where you buy it from).
You or me failed our calculations

Hopefully I won't be priced out of snus... not in this lifetime.
My snus costs have actually decreased since March 2011, when turmoil on the EU snus market began (thank you, EU, lol).

I used to snus Ettan almost exclusively. Unfortunately, as it is the case with all SM products, Ettan has a remarkably short shelf life. My taste buds detect deterioration in taste/smell one month (!!!!) before the product expires (I think that happens because of a poor quality carboard can). Therefore, I always ordered a month's supply of snus and never went beyond that volume.
Now that i have switched to less expensive (but by no means worse) brands that come in plastic cans (Odens, Skruf, Phantom), I can order myself enough snus to last me 3 months thus maximizing the freight costs!
My icetool helps me use smaller prillas and derive the same pleasure/buzz as I used to get when I hand baked (the tool paid for itself within a few months after purchase).
My latest order with snus2.se consists of 1 roll of Skruf Stark Loose and 1 rolls of Phantom Classic loose. Shipped by UPS Standard that's 105.00 Euros in total. Devide that by 3 months = 35.00 Euros/month.... I paid between 70 and 80 Euros before 4/2011 when I lived on SM snus.
I am going to place another order soon, this time with Odenssnus.com. Hopefully they replenish their stocks shortly. From my experience, Oden's snus never actually expires and can be stored in fridge for at least a year. That will help me reduce my snus costs even further.

For your information, a pack of cigs costs here 2 euros, that's cheap by European standards. Most people I know who smoke consume at least 1 full pack a day... judge for yourself.
