    Russian snus

Y live in finland and near the russian border so y usualy buy my snus there. (just 22 e/10 cans and no taxes) it seams to be the same stuff. Its ok butt i think there is a slight difrense its still weary god. Have anyone else tried snus thats bought from mother russia? Yes its sounds stupid but the snus is made in russia just like they make their cigarets under licenses (the cigarets are tottaly shit) luckyly the snus is god.

I wouldn't trust Russian snus. Having known people that work with various black markets and black market goods, and having sampled bogus Russian cigarettes, such as the fake Marlboro Reds they sell on the streets of NYC. Somethings are better not messed with, snus in my opinion is one those things. If it's not Swedish, it's crap.

While I don't have personal opinions of Russian snus, I know my brother liked it as much as the Swedish. I'm not exactly sure if it was Ettan (doesn't matter), but he was very sure it's the same stuff. While we're talking about "foreign" snus, I once ordered a roll of Ettan from a friend of a friend who works in Kosovo as a peacemaker and that stuff was exactly the same as the Swedish, the cans even had all the texts in Swedish.

Completely off topic, but thanks to you I have found my all-time favorite Sig line. That's awesome.

The Russian Ettan is made in Sweden, AFAIK, and probably tax-free. Lucky Russians!

                Cheers!

So don't read it, just put it under your lip! I sometimes buy that Russian snus (Ettan) and it is same good quality Swedish snus. Just keep on snusing .

                      On location in Moscow:

I'm in Moscow and my General Portions have "made in Sweden" in English clearly and boldly marked on the back. There is not enough demand over here to produce locally, so it’s all pure and natural Swedish stuff.

Perhaps the snus you’re getting up there at the border is just a bit older? Have you checked the expiry date on the back? If you’re buying in St. Petersburg, should be fresh as the company that imports snus into Russia is located there.

Unfortunately, there is not enough demand here to have more of a real range of snus apart from the staple General and Ettan and the various dry Click varieties, which I don't care for. Can't buy an icetool here either.

Anyways, ya'all seem to be smoking the wrong Russian Marlboros, my boss from the UK buys them in droves when she's over. BTW, I’ve completely ditched ciggies on the snus))

                      Cheers,
                      Mikhail

how much per can of snus Mikhail? when I went St. Petersburg last summer I looked for snus, and all tobacco stores were either sold out or didn't sell it.

I don't think Mikhail will be responding to your question.... He only has 1 post from 2008.
