    ex dippers turned snusheads

what brand of snus do you prefer?
    los or those pouches?
do you pinch it out of the can?
what do you miss about dip?

myself, ettan/general is about all i like...never really got into the pouches, just didn't feel right. same with hand packing los, seemed unneeded and burdensome, pretty much from day one i was packing it in the can...now i just pinch it without even packing it much, seems to work like a champ...I notice though that i snus more than i dipped...a can of dip would last me three days, i'm lucky now if a can of snus lasts 2 days.
and what i miss about dip is the ease of buying it, i'd never by rolls just a can at the store a few times a week...and the lack of refridgeration was nice, i find myself in the woods for days on end for my work and ettan get's old real quick out of the fridge (about 2 weeks is the max then it drys out)...and every now and then smelling the strong scent of kodiak or grizz makes me miss that peculiar wintergreen taste and strength...but watching folks spit into bottles turns my stomach.
never did spit dip, but i was never grossed out by spit though...now the thought of it makes me queasy.

I prefer general, ettan, thunder, gotlands jule, olde viking, odens....pretty much anything except rothbrix/offroad besides offroad mint.
I really dont have a preference towards los or portions. Portions are great to sneak oen in during a boring economics class and at work. Los is great to come home on a friday with no school work or work work and just lay in bed watching Seinfeld with a nice prilla in. I do lean more towards different brands depending on los or portion. I know alot of us dippers have that bias towards portions because in the dip world pouches are "pussy shit" but portions are just as strong or stronger.
For Los i just grab some and squeeze it on all edges a few times into it turns into a ball and throw it in.
Miss about dip? Honestly nothing. I actually liked the taste of snus more right off the bat although i know a lot of people seem to need some time to adjust. I remember waking up with my bottom lip looking like a 96 year old vagina. With snus my mouth is always nice and moist and never dried out and wrinkly. It's great.

I used to dip copenhagen and grizzly wintergreen long cut, and switched to snus bc I was worried about cancer. I started off with the pouches because there is more variety and they seemed convenient, but they just don't have the flavor that los has. I tried wintergreen snus but the flavor is just not the same as American. I didn't like it really. I like my dip to burn but I don't get that feeling with the portions except for General Onyx. Right now I have settled on Grovsnus loose, I love it. I've tried several different kinds of loose and it is the easiest to pinch, and doesn't fall apart in my lip. It has the strong tobacco taste that reminds me of natural......I don't miss dip at all.

I still dip about a can every week and a half or so. I use mainly portions, cause where I work, loose is not an option. At night, though, once I get home, it's a nice fat prilla of Skruf Extra Stark...damn you Skruf for taking that away from me!! It's funny, spitting is what I really miss. LOL

I consider myself a snuffer; I like American dip and Swedish snus about the same. I snus more often for the convenience of it (no spitting). But I still love a tin of Copenhagen Snuff. They're different types of flavors, Swedish snuff tastes cleaner and more refined and the flavored varieties are often decent, whereas good American snuff punches you in the face with strong smoky tobacco flavor and the flavored types are disgusting to me.

I use los snus just like I use loose snuff, except I usually put los in my upper lip. If I'm out and about I'll lower lip it because that's more discreet. I don't bake it or anything I just take a pinch pretty much and drop it on my tongue.

snus got me into dipping prior to using snus I never really knew of any type of moist snuff. Snus is 80% of my tobacco use. I purchase a roll of dip every now and again. I also started to chew english pig tail twist tobacco as I can get it from my local tobacco store where as snus and dip has to be sourced online. I have some nasal snuff but don't use it often.

I dipped for almost five years before switching to snus. As far as snus, I prefer Granit White. When I first started dipping, I prefered loose dips. I wasn't loyal to any one brand. As I got older, I realized it was messy and inconvenient for me, personally. I started dipping Cope, Skoal and Timberwolf pouches. Then I discovered snus, disliked it, but kept giving it a try here and there and began craving it over dip. So, I then switched to only snus. As far a dip goes, I still use it between snus orders when money is tight. I will use only Skoal Wintergreen Bandits. They taste like actual wintergreen(the plant) and are very clean and discreet.
