i think this demands a contest. get a distributor or producer to pony up a small prize for the winner, and i bet a lot of cool ideas could be realized.

OK I've hit a snag in my security device. I need a certain size tube [wall thickness and inside diameter matters greatly] and I'm having a hard time finding exactly what I need. I can make one if I need to but that would be a last resort. My wife is going away for a long weekend so I might have more time to work on this. I will keep you updated.

I suppose I should mention what "kind" of security device I'm making. Its just a way to hide your valuables in plain site without anyone even having a clue there is something other than snus in the rolls. Put this thing together properly, reshrink wrap it, vacumn seal it and toss it in the freezer with your other rolls. When you need to access it just unseal the wrapper at the top and open the top tin to access the holding area, then reseal. This is more for longer term storage. Not something you need to get to everyday. Hope this helps.

This might not be something all of you can use. But I need at least 9 rolls just for permanent storage. That will suck up 90 identical tins. This will work great for my purpose.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

so what is pp hiding? perhaps it's best not to speculate.
anyhow, if you give the specs for the needed tube, we may be able to help come up with something.
          (id, od, material, etc.)

btw: if (when) i rob you, i'm doing it for the snus stash. so...
          ...take that into consideration.

Once again, flashlight saves the day. Perfect tube for this project and you already have a bunch of skinny ones sitting around.

I've used snus tins for Geocaches before too. They're fairly sealed (the plastic General ones at least) and hide very easy!

The problem with using a snus roll hider is snus is it's kind of valuable itself. Even a conservative accounting would value it at $50 a roll. Maybe the thief doesn't know about snus, but tobacco of any kind is worth taking, especially if you're already there.

At first I saved all of them. Now I toss them all.

true......but you have to get there in the first place.

This thread seems to be dying and I am still putting all the cans in a closet hoping there will be some use invented for them by Snuson members

I usually hold on to them for a little while then toss them.

In my first year of snussin' I kept 3 of the nicer cans (Lucky Strike, Montecristo & Romeo y Julieta Senorita Mini) and use them as Christmas ornaments for the tree.

                              I'm classy like that.

I've got one can of every snus I've tried since 2007. Kinda like an archive of sorts. I have the metal cans from V2 and the plastic, cans that have been discontinued and such. They're on a shelf in my office and are cool to look at. :-)

As for use of my other cans.......I use some of them as laptop cooling stands. One can in each corner props the laptop up enough for it to get some air circulation. My wife takes the labels off of some and uses them as little containers. She made travel first aid kits out of a few and little sewing kits from others.
