I just got a couple coupons for Copenhagen today. Every so often I think of getting a tin, but I know I'd just be throwing my money away. I wouldn't like it as well as snus.

Mine came yesterday! I purchased a couple of the original flavor but agree that SNUS is SNUS.

Glad to know that the industry is however moving towards lowering TSNA's.

I don't even know if we can blame Marlboro anymore or even Camel. They both make good snus "not available to U.S. consumers" I just saw the coffin cans made by Swedish Match so I got one. It's garbage to! Somehow there is an idea out there that Americans only want way ridiculously sweet candy snus with no nicotine. Someone doing market research is targeting the wrong people and feeding these companies terrible information. But I guess at the end of the day they are reponsible for producing it. At least all the money they are spending on coupons and advertising are helping people find real snus.

Edit: I have no idea where I was going with that. After reading it I see it's kind of off topic and contradicts itself. TSNA levels going down is a great thing.

That's pretty interesting Dog. I never gave it a lot of thought, but the tale Brer Rabbit I always assumed was a take on brier. You learn things in the damnedest of places sometimes :^)

indeed. for a while I was an american snuser, but like most quickly came over to the swedish side. Having said that, I don't totally abhor the sweet flavor of american snus, and am glad to see Marlboro has low TSNAs.

BUT, the other day I found myself at lunch without any swedish snus. I got some of the Marlboro Mint, and threw two in my mouth. It really didn't give me the satisfaction I get out of one General Portion, and it felt like I had two skittles crammed into my upper lip. I agree, if the up the nicotine just a tad and make it more absorbable (whatever causes that, PH levels I think? I'm new to this) it would be a better product.

I understand the Marlboro stuff is targeted at dual users, but they at least need to give enough nicotine to satisfy a smoker. If I was still a PAD smoker then I know Marlboro would do absolutely zero for me.

This is a little OT. I remember a snus called "Wise" (I think). It hade lower TSNA levels than nicotine gum. Taste was alright but a little dry. Don't think it's made anymore?

Yes, and then they switched the name to OOMPH. The nicotine hit was pretty amazing but real snus just has a better feel.

I just took a look at the northerner site and I could not find it other then Energy snus?

When you go to Northerner.com the are now under "white dry mini" on the menu on the left.

i think that if camel had more nicotine...they would be a force to reckon with....i like the flavor of their winterchill and mint snuses...but most of the time its just like shoving a breathsaver mint in your gums. Im not sure if they are as good for you as swedish...but they are the only one that claims to use swedishlike processes...
