    Using one single Brand/Type

I've seen that Swedish people claim they go for months/years with a single brand of snus, they don't change it so often like US lot do here on the forums.

Did you guys think about this? I used to be a smoker for many years, and only in the last 4 or 5 years started to switch cigarette brands almost daily until they started to taste like shit and hate them to this day.

I'm thinking about sticking to a single type of snus (for the daily basis) - loose and a single type of dip

    So it'll be -

    #1 Snus - Skruf Loose
    #2 Dip - Skoal Mint

After 2 years of snusing almost I find that switching 7 brands a day, especially having portions and loose in the same day, quite affects the taste of snus. That's the main reason I'd stick to a single brand for the daily basis, and have the specials on weekends. (especially from the v2/odens/SM lines.

I want to get to the point of having one snus that is my de facto BRAND. I am still sampling my way through the list though. I think if I had to pick one it would be ettan los. As of right now, it is the one I most consistently enjoy. However on occasion I like a frosted snus.

With 2+ brands I like being able to adjust the size and nic content independently of each other; sometimes I want a prillazilla of Pioneer (low nic, fast absorption/high surface area) and sometimes I want a dense coprolite of Oden's Extreme (high nic, slow absorption/low surface area). Then factor in flavor, salinity, portion(s)/lös, etc., most of which just aren't considerations for cigarettes. I stuck with one cigarette brand because it became less uncomfortable to inhale the more I smoked that brand.

Snus is insidious that way, allowing for so much discretion. Otherwise, if I could only have one type, it'd also be Ettan lös.

Ettan los seems to be a winner so far, quite good loose actually, the real tobacco experience I could say, but still I'm on Skruf Los.

Even when I smoked I went through a phase of having an open pack of regulars and an open pack of menthols at the same time. But I pretty much stuck to one brand.

Snus is a whole different thing with so many different flavors out there to try. I definitely have my favorites, but I do like to change things up throughout the day. I pretty much always have a can of Thunder Frosted Long + and Los open at all times (I'd use just Los only if not for portions at work and a couple favorites that there is no Los version of... N&J Crushed Ice Los would rock or maybe a Thunder Cool Mint Los...). I also usually have at least 2nd can of portions and los going as well for something different throughout the day. And then there are those that I have tried and didn't care for that I will never order again. I am merely "using them up", they satisfy the nicotine needs but if I could magically change it to a favorite I would. So I guess over time my orders have gravitated to a certain number of favorites but there is usually some thing new added in every order just to try to see if I like it.

So I guess if I had to, I could live with just one snus, but I'd rather have some variety.

I pretty much only use Skruf Stark. Mainly in portion - but, i love their stark los too which i usually do behind closed doors, in my lower-lip.

I have had Skruf portions and they were ok, felt the same about them taste wise as general portions. However I like general los so I need to try skruf los. I typically just have one can of loss open at a time.

I only use the Stark Skruf... i'm not sure on the lower strength one as haven't tried it. Everyone's taste is different. I don't like General much anymore!

I only like General Los. Skruk los and skruf stark los are both on my to try list. Probably get my cousin to bring those in from sweden when that pans out.

When i smoked i went years on the same brand. I started with players number 6 as a teenager, when i started smoking ‘properly’ I moved to old holborn tobacco for I can’t remember how many years, then golden virginia tobacco, then finished my smoking career with drum tobacco. My snus habit is the same, I find something I like and stick with it.

I don’t order five cans of something and ten individual cans of something different just to try, then have loads of different cans open so I can mix it up during the day. If I fancy something different, it’s always plain tobacco and I get roll of ten. If i order four rolls, it’s normally two or three rolls of the same brand los, and one or two rolls of the same brand in portion. Sometimes I spilt some a four or six roll order into half rolls of five, but it’s generally always a plain tobacco flavor, so it’s not that different.

So, the question is, if I had to stick with something for the rest of my life, what would it be? I’d say Ettan or General los and Lucky Strike original portion, because I love the flavor of the toasted tobacco. I know you can’t really call Lucky Strike a plain tobacco as such, but I do really enjoy it, and it comes in a brilliant can!

I was all ready to commit to gul as my one and only.....as we all may or may not know.

Skruf Stark los has been the regular here for quite a while but after using almost three rolls it is wearing thin.

Still like it though cause I have 2 rolls in the freezer still.

This might take you back, depending on how old you are...

I don't think I could ever settle for just one snus all the time but I'm trying to find 3 or 4 to stick with. There is just too much difference in flavours compared to cigarettes. I prefer lös and I'm working my way through a stash of Skruf Xtra Stark but I want to cut down on the nicotine. I really like the taste of Skruf but unfortunately it is not available in a regular strength lös. I see the same company makes Knox lös. Anybody know how it compares taste-wise to Skruf? If it's close then that will probably be 1 of the 3 or 4. Roda Lacket is going to be another regular for me once I re-order.
