    Pioneer Snuff blacklisted?

Added some Pioneer to my cart on Northerner a few weeks, but just left it there for the time being. Tried to checkout today and got a message saying they had to remove it from my cart because "this product is blacklisted". Anyone else had this happen or know anything about it? Apologies if this has been discussed somewhere and I missed it, but really don't remember seeing anything about it.

On Monday, Amy replied to my enquiry about the newly listed Pioneer -- whether these were the new can design and whether the anise flavoring mistake was corrected. She said the cans were the same as before, but made no reference to the flavoring specifically. It might have something to do with that, but it's just a guess.

Figures - the only decent snus Northerner has left is blacklisted.

I think this is a computer glitch. It shows up in the cart but when you hit checkout you get this:

"If you are a US or Norwegian customer you will only be able to order products from the US warehouse. Please choose 'Products in US warehouse only' under 'Show me...' in the top left hand menu.

Swedish Match products cannot be sent to Europe

We have to remove following products from your order... "

Can't find the "show me" they refer to so it must be that Laos is a communist country and on some list from the 1970s.

I was kind of hoping to take advantage of their Pioneer promotion so I wrote them a letter on Facebook. Hopefully they will fix the problem and extend the promotion for a few more days.

Northerner replied to my facebook post. They had to, at least temporarily, stop selling Pioneer in the US. No reason was given.

rick any chance you can find out how much longer we'll be waiting for coffee or orange to show up in the U.S. warehouse? I know they need FDA approval or something, but between them having their stock held hostage for months and us waiting on being able to purchase the new stuff, it seems like there should be a way for them to make this go faster.

Sadly, all I can offer is that once the FDA approves it we'll sell it again. The problem here is that the FDA is slow to move on this type of thing, we're still waiting on several other "new" flavors to be approved before we can sell them. Sorry guys, but that's about the long and short of it for now.

is this one of those things you can throw money at to make it go away?

Yes. Everything's for sale in the US government, but neither Northerner, nor Pioneer have the kind of money it takes to buy policy.

Thanks Rick. Looks like it has narrowed down to Thunder, Grov or Ettan in their downsized tins.

This might be a good sign. Pioneer is back as a selection at Northerner. I tried to order it hoping to get the free tin offer they had up before but it got pulled from my order when I went to checkout. Hopefully this will get solved soon. I am really starting to miss it.

I thought Pioneer had a great smell, taste, and consistancy. But loose snus was just so uncomfortable for me.
