    SM star pattern...

Just out of curiosity, does Ettan white come with the Onyx type of star pattern?

That's my understanding also. I'm not a fan of the star. It looks great in the tin, but feels weird in the mouth. I prefer the portions just dumped in.

        Thanks for the fast responses.

I am trying to help out a few people who are heavy smokers. The people who have tried dip before or the American Camel snus absolutely love Odens Extreme!

People who have never tried Swedish or American imitation snus tend to be impressed by the star pattern and the packaging seems more important to them.

Just giving people three or four cans on the condition if they don't like it give back what they don't use.

Feel good about it as the rate of people who actually quit smoking is quite high but it does take time. The odds of giving up smoking for good seem to go up when people order the try out packs where they can get ten different kinds and then figure from there which ones work best for them.

If they're heavy smokers, do not buy them SM products. Too low nicotine for them, or if you do, buy General ES or something.

I prefer white portions to regular portions. Not sure why, I just do. Maybe I like the gradual development of flavour. So... I'm resigned to the star formation with SM portions. The way I mitigate the 'weird' feeling is to fluff it to spread the tobacco evenly. This is (as well as being a hassle) easier said than done with General Wintergreen whites, the portion material is incredibly weak. I've never come across weaker material.
