hi everyone
i had never heard of this secret snus thing till i stmbled on this forum
after a few weeks of thinking about it :? ,i placed my order at buysnus, and within 3 days it arrived in england. what a shocker the envelope was torn and the only snus tin in there was the free general sterk my mocca mini roll was missing(bummer)so i popped in a portion of general sterk Wow! at first i thought whats all the fuss about :? then after a few seconds Pow! :shock: the nicotine hit ooh heaven this stuff is good
no wonder the swedes swtched to snus, pity we cant buy it in the nanny state of britain,they say its for health reasons,ha ha but you can buy cigs the reason it is banned here is simply there is no tax on snuff in this country.as for me cigs are out and snus is king,i'm hooked :lol:

Did you let Busynus know. They are really good about fixing problems like that. It is rare, but has happened to a few folks here, and Buysnus always has fixed it.

btw, you will find that the Sterk has MUCH more nicotine than the Mocca minis. I like the taste of the Mocca, but the nic hit is usually a bit too low for me. Now the Mocca+, I absolutely adore.

saying they were sorry about the missing role,and they are sending a replacement roll of mocca+ free of charge if it is as good as the general sterk i will be a happy man

Mocca+ ?? Then you scored. Small mini portions, but with as much nicotine as a regular portion. And extra yummy!!!

Yeah, that is why Buysnus is so well thought of around here. They always step up and do the right thing.

Let us all know how it is going while you keep discovering all the good in the world of snus. I snused for almost 15 months by the time I had tried just ab out everything I wanted to. The discovery is half the fun sometimes.

I haven't tried the General Sterk yet, that will be in my order I get in the next couple of days

I had never tried snus before and when I ordered the mocca+ minis,
they had it added on as a freebee,so i thought they must be trying to offload some lesser quality stuff,how wrong can you be! this stuff is top quality,I hope the mocca+ is as good as you say,it would have to be, to match the general sterk :!: I only bought snus cos smoking is banned at work, and I thought I'd give it a try,after reading loads of posts on this forum.I find that I have cut down on the ciggies from 20+ a day to about 3-4 now,and that compared to snus the ciggies taste crap!! big up for buysnus for customer care too, luv that site,I'm like a kid in a candy store

LOL, I try and tell people that I know that I am STILL like a kid in a candy store every time I order more snus. And I have been doing this for 16 months now!!! But I still find it one of my strongest joys every time I get to buy more snus. And when it comes, I get so excited I rip open the package like it's Christmas.

My joy in snus is one of the most unexpected highlights for me since I found snus. I read an article in March of 07 that mentioned snus. I was curious, went to Wikipedia, found a bunch of other sites, found Northerner , ordered a try out box, and then found a snus forum ( much worse forum than here) I too wanted to try snus because of work. I was working as a Supervisor for a fund raising company. I was leaving the floor way to much to smoke, almost once every 30 minutes. My boss was cool with it but I wasn't. So I tried snus to help me stay on the floor at least while I worked. I soon fell in love with it when I had to call, cause for the first time, I wasn't jonesing for a cigarette all the time. Wasn't planning on quitting smoking, but I did. Took about a month before I stopped buying any.

Since then, I have fallen in love with snus. I think it must be similar to how pipe smokers view tobacco. With cigarettes, I didn't give a **it, I just wanted my nicotine fix. But with snus, that part is a given, it is the taste of each different snus that matters to me. I have about 20 different snus now that I like to keep on hand. At any given moment, I will have about 8 open. Every time I get a new snus, I get to choose which taste I want at that moment. There is pleasure in the snus, but also in the choices I have, that I HAVE choices.

I found this forum 6 months after I started using snus. This site has allowed me to embrace my snus obsession. In a few days, I will have over 80 tins in my freezer. Be careful, that is what snus can do to you too. :P

I am looking forward to the General Sterk. These past few months have brought a bonanza of good new snus... Jakobsson's, PM, the Mocca +, Triumph. Trying a new snus is a rare treat for me, and I have been almost overindulged lately. But I have special hopes for the Sterk. I am a long time N&J fan, so any new strong snus is extra important for me. General + strong, I think it will be good. I promise I will let you know what I think

got my mocca+today from buysnus, the one missing from my order.
you were right on. this stuff kicks.here is a question for you, if snus is just
tobacco+salt+water+food grade flavouring.and the process that is used in the manufactoring is in fact steam curing.Why is there a use by date on the can??????!!!!!! if kept sealed in a fridge until use, the moisture will be retained,tobacco,salt,water,food grade flavouing do not deteriate with age.
you shouldnt have to freeze it,the only thing i can think that could deteriate is the moisture content,which could be easily fixed with an drop of water added before popping it in,as you know i am a very new user to snus and you probaly know a logical reason why there is a use buy date.
The biggest bonus to me so far with snus is the enjoyment I get from it the nic hit is great but the flavour is heaven

Glad you like the Mocca+. And again you nailed it. What makes snus magical. We get our nicotine fix just fine, but our focus is on the flavor. Except maybe when I was 9 or 10 and just started smoking, I cared about the flavor of cigarettes. After that, I didn't really give a da** as long as I got my nicotine. But now, I am turning into a tobacco aficionado..LOL


OK, I think the main issue with the fridge vs. the freezer is that the fridge will dry it out after a while. Not all the moisture is retained. Most snus cans are not air tight. Yeah, there are things you can do to deal with that, but freezing them does seem to slow down that water loss big time. I have had frozen snus way past their use by date with no issues. Now I have had snus that was left in the fridge for 6 months. Not terrible, but definitely not as good as fresh.

Honestly, most snus care requirements you read about are really just personal habits that people have developed. Since most of us do obsess over our snus, we have all developed our own ritualistic ways of storing it. Some people vacuum pack their snus when they freeze it. I always laugh a tiny bit at that, as I have never done that and never found my frozen snus to not be good in any way. But that is there thing, so more power to them for doing it. I think the care of carefully sealing each loved can of snus is part of their joy.

I STILL haven't gotten my snus order from Buysnus, but I did just get 8 cans from Premium Parrots, so now I have 14 open in my fridge that I will need to finish up. So I might wait a few days before I try the Sterk. Then again, I probably won't. I'm not very good at waiting to try a new snus. :P
