    USB Fridge

Lately I've been in the market for a mini refridgerator for my office. Especially since I've taken up snusing.
My wife has been trying to get me to wait until the end of summer for back to school sales. She thinks they'll go on sale fro college kids.
Well I've looked at a couple stores and almost picked one up the other day for $5o. It was pretty small at about 1.7cf. Just about what I wanted. I still don't wanna spend that much. I looked on craig's list and freecycle but no luck.
Today I was browsing Northerner and saw their snus fridge.

    $83.40!! before freight.

I looked on eBay too. Actually saw two camel snus fridges, but they only maintain 68 degrees F. I want something cooler for my snus, for soda and bottled water, not to mention my luch too. well I came across what appears to be the same USB fridge Northerner has.

I'm gonna get one of these for now and hold out for a real mini fridge. I can't imagine it getting very cold off of USB, but we'll see.

I wouldn't recommend getting one of these. I got one and it barely keeps the snus cold unless its in a metal can. I just sold it on eBay to get my money back.

It cools down to a minimum of around 47 degrees fahrenheit while a real fridge is around 32. I suggest investing in a real mini fridge, it will keep the snus (along with your lunch) much cooler.

See the metal plates on the bottoms of those fridges? They make me believe that they are simply this:

...with a plastic housing built around it. Purely Conduction Coolers... They probably won't keep your snus very cold at all. The metal tin on the bottom of the stack would probably be decently cool, but the rest wont. You may as well get the one from Amazon and stack your tins on it!!! I would opt for the $50 standard mini fridge.

My wife bought me a mini fridge today from walmart the damn thing is tiny, its a coke mini ridge that supposed to house a six pack of cola. It houses over 20 tins, the fridge is good and cold, and she paid $40. She was tired of the tin of snus in the crisper HAHAHAHA
