Methinks you'll like the JO as it is a drier portion but not with a white bag. If you're not getting the flavor just move it further back towards your cheek. The flavor lasts for eons and no smoke additive.
Any new long term of experience in Jakobsson´s?

Anyway Mr. U-zone I hope you like the Gul, I prefer Jakobbson's Original now but they are similar. I still don't have any desire to order the Icefruit but I may give it a try sometime.
I'll use the Onyx up...it doesn't taste bad, just way too mld on the tobacco flavor than I like or then the General White Portion. I must admit, I'm disappointed.
I did do a can of the 1847 White before the Onyx. Maybe Philip Morris puts in a secret ingredient that turns you off to General........ I wouldn't put it past them. Or maybe I'm just disappointed and have 9 cans left.

If you like the 1847 I'd suggest giving Gustavas Original a try. IMHO it's very similar to the PM product, it's an original, not white portion but still lasts a long time. It's got the bergamot hints like the 1847 but without the choclate notes. It's also priced better since your not paying extra for the metal tin.

nice commentary´s. Give the icefruit an longer experience and find the hit without the STRONG NICOTINE that you al like!
my father have been snusing for 40 years and was hooked on the göteborgs rapé lös. when he tryed the gul lös for the first time he went over to gotlandssnus the same day! he said; i will never try portions tho!
when we did Jakobsson´s Ice fruit it took about two week´s and he is now a member of Jakobsson´s icefruit portions.
Why he likes it? It feels strong from the mint, and have an non artificial taste like so many other have. (when you have been snusing for 40 years of lös you have an less sensitive lip!)
keep the nice commentary´s arrive and i will perhap´s give you another anecdote // Jimmy/Jimi

I am pleasantly surprised to read how much some people enjoy the Ice Fruit. Especially the forty-year snus veteran! Very interesting just how diverse our tastes and preferences are, and how much even personal tastes can change over time. In my own humble opinion, Ice Fruit is second only to Offroad garbage -- so far -- on my list of intolerably sickening and offensive flavorings. Flopping some toothpaste under my lip would be a healthier choice.
But I was definitely impressed with the 2 Jackobsons Original cans I've tried. I opened those originals just after I finished a small order of Montecristo portions and found some good similarities in flavor and quality between the two. Jacksobsons definitely knows how to make a great product, I'm just wondering who was smoking what when they thought the ice fruit was a good idea!

I cleaned my fridge and freezer of snus this afternoon, stuff I knew I'd never use. That included all Gotland's snus, about 6 cans, two unopened and the others near full. It's just not my thing. What I ultimately couldn't deal with was the bitterness. I'll take just about any other flavor sensation over bitter. I realize and appreciate that we're dealing with plant products, and that these snuses are genuine and original to an extent, but it's just not my thing. I wanted to like them.

"Jakobsson" snus
I would take the Jakobsson message with a few grains of salt. Gotlandssnus ceased to exist over two years ago when the factory in Roma, Gotland was purchased by the Norwegian Taboca AS.
Taboca, has, since then, been producing all Gotlandssnus SKU's under contract (same people, better machines), as well as the Cuban and Taboca products for Scandinavia.
And believe me, any tobacco grown on Gotland is guaranteed to be shite. Poland (also a Baltic country) still sits on warehouses full of unsold awful cigarette tobacco. The better grades come from warm countries.
Snus itself is made primarily from the stem of high-nic tobaccos from India and Philippines, i.e. the cheap end of the leaf.
The Jakobsson "Grandpa" story is extremely far-fetched!

I thought the snus' from the 2 companies tasted an awful lot alike. I wasn't sure if it was because they were both from Gotland, or if they were from the same factory. I suspected the arrangement went the other way though, with Gotlandssnus making Taboca's snus products.
