    Turney Snus

I just got back from a trip to Louisville, KY and while there every gas station had Turney Snus. First time I had heard of a Turney branded snus. They have orginal and speriment. The orginal is kind of a bitter tobacco taste lightly mixed with licorice. The speriment is overwhelmingly speriment. They only have .5 grams a pouch and 20 pouches so you can guess they are weak. They are real snus though and not candy.

If your referring to "Tourney", I've tried that and it almost made me gag. It was the worst snus I've ever tried. I had to take it out after about 10 minutes before I threw up.

For US made snus, the only good one I've tried is Camel original snus. I've heard that Triumph is good too, but I can't get that here.

IIRC, Tourney is made by SnusAB in Sweden.

I think the main issue we run into is that with the brands made in Sweden for the American consumer, we find flavors made for the unknowing American consumer. Those of us who have already formed ur opinions about what snus should taste like won't likely find these brands appealing.

Triumph is great, and the Camel stuff is good for what it is (a snus targeted at the American palette).

I'd like to get my hands on some Tourney just to say that I have tried it. Once Theguitargeek gets home from his road-trip, i'll have some coming and will be able to post my thoughts.

Otherwise, If ya like it, rock on! Obviously there are people who like it or the test market area would not be expanding as rapidly as it is.

Yes, I did mean "Tourney". I didn't think that they were very good but my point was it was real snus not the crap PM and Camel are putting out. I am not going to buy half portions for full price anyway. I have not got to try out the Triumph as of yet but I will run across it sooner or later.

Tourney may be good for others as tastes vary quite a bit in the snus world. I may have to re-visit Tourney later. I had bad experiences with many of the brands I tried, then liked them later. I'd actually prefer Camel over Tourney if I had to buy here in the US.

Thanks Xobeloot, I didn't know it was actually Swedish made (or owned).

I have shied away from trying any U.S. marketed snus. Yet today, while helping a friend move, I ran out of my LD Blue. I almost grabbed a Marlboro cig from my friend but saw that the gas station was selling Tourney. Ah, what the hell, he purchased them for me (because I was helping him). Not too shabby my friends. I got the "original" flavored. It has a slight burn, enough salt, and enough nicotine to keep me happy for a while. I will say that it does not last as long, but is comparative to Knox in flavor, minus the stronger bergamot flavor of Knox. Am I off base or I was I just wanting some Nicotine? How does Tourney compare to Triumph? I have not read a direct comparison.

I haven't had Tourney, but I believe it's made by Snus AB. Snus AB is a second-third tier maker, and I haven't been particularly impressed with their products. It would work in a pinch, but I think I'd rather have a cigarette :^P

Tourney snus has a very metallic-like taste and causes my throat to burn. Since I live in Ohio, I will get Triumph if I run out of my Swedish snus.

Triumph lasts for hours and hours.

I just do not care for it that much because it is very sweet.

Almost a peachey , american chewing tobacco flavor.

But its definately real deal snus.

I tried the Tourney, once. It was lacking in flavor and staying power. 25 minutes or so it was dead. Triumph is superior, a bit on the sweet side but no more than most flavored Snus I have had. I guess I am lucky to be in Ohio since Triumph is everywhere. The $1.49 stuff is gone, but still under $4.

Yeah, a buddy of mine has like 20 cans of triumph because you still get a free can here for a pack of smokes.

The prices of Triumph here range from $3.29 to $4.23

Depends on which store you go to.

I hope they start marketing Triumph in different states because it's real snus that is made in Sweden, unlike Marlboro & Camel snus which are complete garbage (in my honest opinion).
