Skruf Los... cant decide what this is

Hi guys, I recently got a lot of snus I have not had in awhile since ive mainly used only General because that is all they sell around here.

Im probably 2 or so years removed from Skruf Los but I remember it having flavor.

Ive had it in now for almost 30 minutes and havent really tasted much.

I mean the feeling is there, and when I rub my tongue across it I get a nice mellow tobacco taste but that is about it.

Kinda bummed because man that can looks sweet and with the line of work im in now it would definately hold up to the stress in my pocket, im kinda worried about the lid on the General and Ettan cans.

Skruf is definitely different now. Much less richness and flavour than it used to have. It was about 2 years ago (maybe more) when the Skruf company got taken over by some big tobacco company and the snus has gone downhill ever since

But despite that they still make the best snus!

Skruf used to be fantastic in it's hay day before it gotten taken over by big tobacco but even now in it's not so good form it's still a firm favourite for me.

Yup. I never liked the portions, but the lös I enjoyed. The last tins I got were bland. They were also the first to shrink the tins below 45g. They've been permanently crossed off my brands to get list.

It's been off my list for a while now. There are just too many other brands that are doing it right to fool around with one that is cutting corners

Portion wise more flavour and kick and 1g per portion instead of the current 0.9g mate :-)

But for flavour and kick the current Skruf beats all or most overs i've tried.

I find I get more flavor in the portions than the los. Whenever i packed the los it would take ike 30 minutes to taste anything and it was very little I could taste. Recently I have been using the skruf xtra sterk slim portions and I get tons of flavor in a matter of 5-10 minutes.

I do like the Skruf flavor profile, but I'm in the liking los more than portions crowd. I really don't use much los, but Skruf Stark los is very good and you get more of the rose oil/bergamot flavor too.

That is pretty much how I feel now as well.

When I first got into snus there was talk of the coming PACT act. General Eksta Sterk portion and loose and Skruf Xtra Stark loose were on sale often and I bought quite a few rolls.

A couple years later not only is the Skruf can different but the taste is as well. Now they've discontinued the Xtra Stark loose which I thought was the best product they had.

It is definitely milder, and a bit drier than it used to be. The flavor profile is still one of my favorites though..that rose oil just gives it so much of a different character than other bergamot/traditional snuses. The portions still have decent flavor, and if you don't bother forming a pris, a hillbilly pinch with the Los stays together really well and actually releases a good bit of flavor. I do find myself using General more and more though for Bergamot snus...can't mess with tradition I guess.

Exactly my experience the last time I bought a can of Stark lös. It tasted nothing. Never experienced that before with a snus. The portion however has a lot of flavor and is awesome.

I LOVE the fact that the Stark Los tastes of nothing not even rose oil because it hits hard and i love the nothingness taste. The stark portions i enjoy too but with these i get the rose oil flavour.
