Hey Belatorious , I also quit smoking with snus :triumphant: !!! I started smoking at age 11 and kept it up for 32 years. I've been using snus on and off for the past 3 years but have been a dedicated snus user for the past 6 months and no smokes at all. Like you my first experience was Camel Frost but it was way too much Like candy for me. Of course I had no idea about Swedish snus until I did some research. I will tell you that the flavors in loose snus are way more mellow than the portions ( this includes the saltiness). Roda Lacket is a good one to start with and then experiment from there. Getting totally off the cigarettes will come as long as you keep enough nicotine in your system. But , be careful , you absorb quite a bit more nicotine from snus than you do from cigs. I learned that the hard way.

I hope this was somewhat helpful. I'm new here as well just today. Good luck we'll see you around.
My mind is like a bad neighborhood. I don't need to go there alone.:biggrin-new:

I have 2-3 spent before I finish my coffee... Light smoker and light snuser should be a smooth transition.

Loose snus is a different animal. at least from my limited experience. I have only had one can of roda lacket more than a year ago. When General Wintergreen became available locally I quit ordering all together. However I did just order 10 cans of Ettan loose yesterday. I'm looking forward to something different. I will suggest getting some kind of portioner with it. You can bake a prilla in your hand just fine but it makes a mud puddle in your palm , not so great when your out and about in your nice clothes. A portioner just makes it neater. You can either go cheap or expensive on a portioner , both work fine. I'm sure there are lots of folks around here that could give you a lot of info on loose snus. If you watch you tube check out Snusify. He does some informative reviews and it was his channel that got me to ordering snus online a couple years ago. If you ever do want to venture out i can tell you Jakobbsons Wintergreen is great. That was my first real snus. It doesn't taste like candy. It tastes like wintergreen tobacco the way it should taste. Anyway , hope it works out. The cig habbit will be gone if you just keep at it.

haha...I hear you I guess I would cut back if I had a reason just haven't felt the need as the only downside is the cost which relative to the satisfaction gained is well worth it to me. Try a Northerner for sleeping those little dry suckers stay plastered right where you put them and no worries with swallowing about the size of a large horse fly.

I've been snussing on and off for a few years. I've been a fan of the General Regular portion, but only because it was one of the few I could get locally.

I went from smoking to rolling my own stogies and decided to go snus again. So bought local expired for cheap (Jacobson mint, off road regular (very good!) and a few others. Bought my first order with an icetool (all in now) and went with some gr Los, and ettan. The flavor varieties are good but take some getting used to. I bought licorice to try and the Irish whiskey.

Sorry for jumping all over the place but excited. Went the whole day without a cigarette and essentially nicotine (went after work to grab snus) and have to stick it out. Btw it's refreshing to be on here again with fellow snus users! As others have said, try a few, you can shelve them and revisit and might enjoy them when your tastes adjust.

Any recommendations? :3 Placing an order soon

Supply is running rather low. Any suggestions? I tend to go for the traditional flavors. My order so far

                      Ettan Loose Snus x3
General Ekstra Sterk Portion Snus x5
                      Grov Portion Snus x3
Ettan Portion Snus x6 (my favorite)
                      Skruf Strong Loose Snus x2
Goteborgs Rapé Loose Snus x3 (2nd favorite)

I wanna make it a decent supply to last a while. Thanks

                        Try some General ES los

Grov, Odens #3, Granit are all good traditional snus types (another is Knox)

Also I would give Gustavus and Skruf a try just to mix things up a bit

Let us know what you wind up with and what you like
When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

Ettan and Goteburgs. Those two are my favorites. A nice traditional flavor.
