Close encounter with a General snus fridge!
Ok, I went over to Martinsburg West Virginia to pick up a couple of pounds of the Sparrow cigar tobacco today. I blend this Cavendish infused cigarette cut tobacco with several whole leaf Golden Virginia tobaccos, Dark air cured, and some Izmir Turkish for my wife. I always scope out all the Tobaccos, chews and dips for anything new and interesting and there it sat, all new and shiny, a refrigerated fully stocked General snus fridge.
Holy shit batman!
I immediately grabbed a sample coffin tin of Special blend, 10 portions for $1.79. I had not wanted to waste shipping on these but I certainly have been curious. Weak tasting white portion, pronounced salt, background citrus, Great for out of the fridge in WV though! A novelty, that also had the dollar off coupon in the catch lid compartment, expires 12/31/12, the can expires 11/29/12, and the fridge was about a month old.
They had wintergreen, an abomination to me, white, and of course General original portion. $3.29 cents a can, 5% sales tax. All expire end of November. So I bought a roll and used my dollar off coupon. about 34 dollars a roll! That was my single biggest snus purchase ever from a retailer. I was just thrilled to see snus, within expiration, at a decent price. Cheaper than Lil Brown shipped. They are very fresh and I am happy to have then, I rotate a can of this every week anyway.
My cheap thrill of the week, and my hats off to whomever made this possible. Now if I can only get them to stock some Ettan OP and los! I would like to think Rickcharles had a hand in this, made an old man happy!
