Holy shite, is there a possibility of moving to Channel Islands and start our own European Snusers Community there. Channel Islands are not part of the EU, I'm not sure but I belive EU laws does not apply in there...

But it wouldn't be illegal to own snus, chewing tobacco, etc - right?

I feel really bad for Toque if this happens. Roderick has built a great business from nothing, and if I'm not mistaken this would shut him down.

Unless he upped sticks and moved to Sweden - like a tobacco exile.

Yeah, but I'm pretty sure dude from Mr. Snuff bounced from the states to England, and it will have been all for nothing if this becomes reality. F*cking Bullsh*t. These anti's are hardcore, I first realised the extent of their extreme views when my youngest son was born. I was told that if I smoked, not to smoke around him. That's fine, but then I was told after I smoked I needed to take a shower and change clothes before holding him again, lest he become exposed to what I could only refer to as "third-hand smoke residue" lol.

That would be strange if nasal snuff was banned in the UK as I understood there is a long tradition of it. I heard they even have it in the House Of Commons. Still, who knows with the EU regulations stuff.

No it wouldn't, same as it is now.

Great, yet another scare to bring on my snuff hoarding OCD, or TAD.

Ok - this is terrible. But. This means that for the foreseeable future after this directive is passed that we are free to buy snus products from outside of the EU.

So, if Northerner and GN have stock outside of the EU we're OK.

This time the EU-commission is going too far. Not many people like this undemocratic, corruption-laden construct, called "the EU" anyway, but if this directive gets passed, about one third of the population will outright hate the EU.

And I also think that the rest of the population is at last waking up to the fact that after the tobacco-users are demonised and disenfranchised (all to please a small group of extremists), they will be next (whether they eat meat, sugary food, whether they drink alcohol or drive a fast car etc. etc. - the health professionals and environmentalists are really going nuts at the moment - I wonder what they all smoke, sniff or inject).

Not to be misunderstood, there's nothing wrong with health education, as long as people have the right to decide for themselves what to do, but whats going on at the moment really appears to be nothing else as the work of brainwashed psychotics or people who are bribed to do what they do - and most of the activists and deciders don't even have the proper education to give any advice. The EU health comissioner who proposed the new tobacco directive is an economist and one even finds engineers and sociologists among the anti-tobacco activists, who give advice as if they were medics.

The magnitude of corruption, incompetence and propagation of lies or half-knowlede in this shadow-economy, called "public health" is slowly getting totally out of control and people are getting more and more nauseated by the work of these no-goods.

                            Cheers!

encouraging if the UK were to leave the EU, harm reduction is the likely path to be followed RE smokeless tobacco too. Now when we get our referendum vote to leave the EU!!
