It's been less than a month since the website change. I think some people have gotten snus, but they don't get as much attention as the ones who didn't. I dunno what's going on with them, but communication has always been sparse. There really isn't enough information to determine what the future holds, but if they don't get their shit together, it won't be bright.

I used to do my orders through here at Snuson.com and every order arrived on the 11th day like clockwork.Last email I got from Northerner said my last order was shipped out exactly like it had with Snuson.com and they are sorry for the delay and could be any day now.Really reassuring that is,any day like this year or next year?Judging from comments on their facebook page we ain't the only ones, heh.Another thing too is they upped the price on everything, used to get Stoker's Butternut big bags for $7 and change now their charging 9.63 euros with converts to $12.53.Hoping to find another company that ships here to Ireland thats cheaper but it's slim pickins when it comes to chewing tobacco to Europe other than Northerner. Will either have to quit or switch to snus, both of which I ain't looking forward to heh.

How does an Irishman get into American chew? I didn't think our stuff was very well traveled.

Heh,I'm not Irish the wife is,I'm a homegrown West Virginia boy!Been here about 3 years too long now,heh can't remember last time I seen the sun!Explains why everyone here is so pasty, heh. But chewing tobacco sales inside the EU is illegal tdue to public safety but they figure smoking is healthier! But it is legal to buy it outside of the EU which is why I arrived here at Snuson and was happy. Now I have to deal with the new Northerner and I ain't so happy!Ran out of chaw last Wednesday so been having to make my own til more order arrives whenever that is.

Sorry - I got my months mixed up. Oops!

Maybe I should give them a little longer before I shoot my mouth off in this fashion. I will be saying this in a months time if the situation hasn't improved by then though.

Doesn't make me much more optimistic though. But I'd like to retract the allegation that they're probably going under.

I am going to wait until I get compensated for my points before I place another order. I didn't have a lot, maybe 500 or 600, but I still should have had a chance to use them.

The lack of transparency with snus companies/vendors is irritating. To solve all of this, all Northerner had to do was send out a mail a month in advance telling people the site was going to change, and they had to use their points, or lose them forever. Done. People get fair warning, and they were off the hook for complaints. Snus brands disappear with none, to little warning so people can stock up. What the hell's so hard about telling everyone what's going on? You aren't selling nukes to god damned Iran, it's a tobacco product. It isn't a big deal, and the only people who care are the customers :^S

yea, hold the lube.......I want it to hurt real good.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

It used to be that way. I remember Northerner coming onto snuson right before some law was to take place and warning everybody that they would not be allowed to use their points towards merchandise with tobacco logo's on it in the near future. I believe quite a few members cashed in their points for Ice Tools then. I also remember Fredrik being here to personally take care of any issues that came up. The Good Old Days!

Right - it would appear that complaining gets things done.

So today I received 2 rolls of snus in separate packages and this is what the procedure would appear to be for shipping snus to the UK via Northerner.

They take your order & money.

They wait until they have the snus closest to the expiration date available (26th October in my case)

They use Swedish post to post your package to the US warehouse from the Swedish warehouse.

The US warehouse ums and ahs a bit and then takes your rolls out and sticks 2 US specific health warning labels on every single can. This is despite the fact that this snus is never going to be consumed in the US.

They put the snus back in the same packages but the roll is now all split up.

The US warehouse uses the cheapest possible USPS service to send to the UK.

Now I can see why that would take about a month. However - I don't see how all of that is strictly necessary. I know they are using the double postage method because there are both post marks on the package. But surely they don't need to dismantle each and every EU order in the US warehouse because labels stating that "WARNING: THIS PRODUCT CAN CAUSE GUM DISEASE AND TOOTH LOSS" or some such thing is not a legal requirement outside the US. They could just have our addresses under a peel-off label and toss them straight in the post the moment they arrive at the US warehouse without thinking about it. Also - if they are going to be sending a lot of stuff to the EU from the US then SURELY it makes more sense to stock the items AT the US warehouse rather than send each order as a special from Sweden for EVERY ROLL!

I am grateful at the opportunity to buy it at all - of course I am ... but this procedure delivers pretty much out of date snus that has been unrefrigerated for a month or so. And it must cost them so much because it is probably the most inefficient system I could possibly think of.

                          Cheers

There's a lot of ways the process could be streamlined. I question having a US warehouse anyway. It might be nice to keep to have an extra card to play, but I'd look into Russia, or other eastern countries for EU snus. It's closer, and from over here, it seems like less regulatory hassle.

How bizarre. I remember when I've received snus from the US warehouse in the past their US Airmail pre-pay sticker mentioned their Swedish HQ but I never got anything with both a USPS and Swedish Post Airmail sticker on it.

Yeah I'm waiting on a Northerner order of just 5 cans myself that I placed a couple of weeks ago. That is an ass backwards way of sending you your package.

But what I don't get is, I thought that due to the PACT Act in the U.S. that tobacco could no longer be sent via USPS??
