Its hard to make sense of ain't it? I am one of those people who tries to figure everything out. This is what we in the biz call a head shaker. Anytime I think about how much money could be made on snus it makes me shake my head. Before Northerner opened I had already checked to see how much money it would cost to open a web shop in the USA. Way more than I have access too by far. Then Obama did the Stick it To Tobacco Users Act and any dreams I had were gone. I might give my left nut to be able to do what they seemingly failed at. Just think of how much money one could make with a US based snus shop.. if ran half right.. geee makes me shake my head.
Below is the latest reply. The reason I opened new tickets is because they won't reply to an updated old ticket. Seems they only read new tickets. I never asked them to change my order as anyone who has read my whining post would know... I only want Oden's ES loose so why would I ask them to change it? I have all the other snus I want. They did offer to cancel this order of course it is 98 days later. Since they did offer I won't be doing any charge backs and guess I will wait this out just to see how long it takes. The stuff they said about in or out of stock they told me three months ago. They also told me they were working on it as well. The stuff about addresses they told me three months ago. Bottom line, nothing has changed. All I want is my Oden's that I paid for and have wasted time trying to get.

If a customer has more than one ticket they will be closed after one ticket has been answered. We are sorry if you have sent several tickets with seperate issues in. Please address all issues in one ticket. Thank you. I am going to do my best to answer all your questions.
I'm afraid we can not change an order. But if you like we can cancelan order so that you can place a new one with other items. The delay on your order was due to an out of stock item. Due to the fact that we have more than one warehouse the stock value shown on the site can not be specified I'm afraid. This unfortuantely means that the instock value might be pulled from another warehouse than the one you ordered from or the instock value is allready reserved for allready placed orders. We are working on this and it will hopefully be fixed very very soon.
If you have problems with adding seperate billing and shipping addresses just enter the shipping address. Since we do not send you invoices by mail the important address is the shipping address so that your order arrives.

I finally got my snus from Northerner. Instead of a box full they were gonna send me three los cans and a free tin of portions. I open said box wiyh much anticipation to discover just two cans and the freebie portions. No Odens, which was the really the one I was curious about. Yet another "we're sorry" note and the promise of a discount and refund.
Well, I'll be watching my credit card statement closely for that refund and no, I won't order from them ever again. They seem like super nice folks but this isn't how you make customers for life.
Yes, I am new to the forum. Yes Norther is among the worst companies in terms of transparency and customer service, which is regarded as a standard for its niche.
In lieu of this fact, I must also voice my dismay at the seemingly dishonest way that Northerner has (mis)conducted things over the past year.
I began with them. Once a virgin, now venerated, and I can only shake my head in disbelief.
I concur with those talking about shipping times, which was always an issue in the US - at times approaching the 3.5 week arena.
I have had a large order of 40 tins never arrive with not one sense that they cared at all and no way to check that theory, ie the magically anonymous "help desk".
I have felt as though a prisoner and victim of this company for all the time that I have used snus, wholly aware that I had been subjecting myself to the cruel and inhumane punishment that I deserved, being an addict and all.
Now they have things so backward that you don't know what you're being taxed for and if applicable, is it even correct? How can one tell?
For example, billing address (no sales tax) - OR, US, shipping to no duty country with regards to certain weights of tobacco (well below what a consumer would order), without any way to clarify how they should delegate billing with regards to service to the customer and adherence to good book keeping ethic, nor any way to split addresses without spending far too long in front of your laptop right before bed.
Lastly, in looking though the last 2 years' purchases (in excess of 800USD) I realized that the grand totals for the orders had all been almost doubled. For instance, on the order I never received from June or July 18 2011, I ordered $111.00 worth of snus, and they have recorded a grand total of $243.24 listed in their record of the transaction (the true order total being tallied as a "sub total"). This is true for every single order in my "Order Archives". I do not know what to think about this.
Oh, and I guess I have a post script.
Over 1000 bonus points simply disappeared when they revamped their web site and there is no way to have them redesignated and this is simply because they don't know what they lost (IMOO).
PPS I have an open ticket asking about these various issues, along with the missing order.
My resolution is to give up nicotine totally. It's been a long and motivated road, but I want to be free, mostly of Northerner. If Northerner reps read this, may they know that not only have they lost a costumer, but they have driven someone to quit using tobacco all together. That is just how terrible, and in my case beautifully so, Northerner the company has dealt its dealings.
Between those two dates I submitted more support tickets than i can remember. My best guess is twenty new and or replies to tickets. I was told everything reason one might expect as to why the problem happened. Once or twice I was told to let them know what snus I wanted as a replacement. After I would tell them their reply might take weeks or a month or longer. By the time they replied the snus I wanted would be out of stock. At that point it was like starting all over again.
A few weeks ago they replied to a ticket that I had sent weeks before. They told me I could have a 30% off discount code. Remember this has been going on for months and I did not even see the ticket until after it had already expired. In that ticket they let me know that different people were now handling support. I took them at their word and wrote back basiclly reviewing what had happened until then. I also told them that a 30% discount was a big assumption that I would ever order from them again. Also, that if I did and used the 30% discount that I would need to order aprox $150 worth of snus just to recover my losses. That since I had waited 150+ days for a seven can order them assuming that I would trust sending them $150 was a really big assumption. I was nice and did no name calling or anything like that.
Today I read their reply to my FINAL ticket that they wrote a few days ago. They gave me a $65 in store credit and 30% off my next order (until June 6, i think is the date).
Northerner lived up to their past history with me. They made mistakes, sometimes may be slow to correct those mistakes but I lived long enough for them to make good.
Should it take 200 days? Duuh. Did they finally make good? I think so.

I just wanted to chime in and say that I love SnusCentral. Great customer service and quick shipping. When I first got into snus, I saw so much flack about Northerner that I didnt even bother with them.

I agree with blue here. Now, I am not defending Northerner, but my last few transactions with them have been fine, the US ones arrived in under 2 weeks, I was also emailed to advise one was out of stock and if I wanted a replacement. It does seem that things are starting to look up, especially given our limited ordering options.
