Surprising Disappointments

r.l. lös didn't do it for me it tastes like chewing tobacco that has lost it's juice.
n&j tastes nasty to me. i like most all of the other strong snus.
grov svart doesn't taste all that good to me either.
i really wanted to like them.

I gotta go with General, except Onyx. The other Generals always seem to want to hit me over the head with pepper and citrus flavor. The Onyx, on the other hand, at least tame the pepper and citrus back a little. I actually got a bit of sweet tobacco flavor from it once.

My biggest surprise has been Roda Lacket white portion.

My biggest disappointments have been 1847 and Ice Fruit.

Göteborgs Rapé #2 and General would be the ones for me. Göteborgs was just too flowery for my taste, and while that may change later, just doesn't appeal to me. General is too much citrus and pepper for me. I can take something with some pepper, but General was too strong for my taste. I'm glad I picked Lucky Strike White portions, because the flavor there is strong enough as is for me. I don't think the regular portions would sit well with me at all.

I thought RL could be my thing, but I didn't like the loose and I don't like claq either. That raisiny taste is just so distracting.

biggest surprise the other way was jakobsens icefruit. Got it in trade in a low-risk way to try non-tobacco flavored snus again and love it. I got quite down when I realized I was down to 2 portions, and now zero.

Biggest disappointment was Probe. That was the oddest flavor adn I just couldn't get used to it. Threw out 1.5 cans. It was the only snus, I've thrown out. Well, I did get rid of some Elyzir PE, but I knew that was supposed to suck.

Biggest surprise was Phantom. After reading all the bad reviews I was doubtful, but it has become my #2 brand. Nothing can beat Tre Ankare , for now.

My biggest disappointment would be Gotlands Julsnus. I waited half a year to try it and when I finally got at it I thought it tasted like crap.

I actually really like Jak's Ice Fruit. Who doesn't like a little mint every so often?

Having read reviews on Jak's Ice Fruit, my expectations weren't that high. It goes well post-Taco Bell, but otherwise, I don't enjoy it.

My biggest disappointment was Goat Rape #2. I read reviews and a lot of people liked it. It's just too flowery for me. It sits in the fridge for those times when I've had too much to drink and don't care for any more than a nic fix.

also, anything Gotland is a big dissapointment to me. so far i've tried Yellow, Green and Jakobsson's Classic, and they all start with a nice flavor, but it's too subtle and completely dissappears soon, leaving just nasty and slightly peppery bitterness in my throat.

for such, slightly sweet and flavour-y snus, i prefer both Rapes and Roda Lacket, they last much longer and are a bit more intense and "fuller", with no bitterness and throat burning.

keep in mind i'm still a noob, i first tried snus a month ago or so.

I'm just the opposite. I find Gotlands to be some of the longest lasting flavors out there. I can easily get 1.5-2 hours out of a portion. General is good for about 45 minutes, then it's on to a new one.

I rather like ice-fruit despite everyone else saying they hate it. Its cheaper too, and thats a plus.

Anyway, I tried Offroad Cranberry, and its pretty bad.

Heh, I found Offroad Cranberry to be one of my biggest surprises since starting snus.

Biggest disappointment would be Thunder. Most seem to like it but the flavor has me disposing of it long before the nicotine has run out.

My biggest surprise was trying the brand of dip I had used for nearly ten years after a couple weeks of using snus. Disgusting. Who knew tastes could change that fast?

Really? I find it to be really salty and just plain bad behind that. Not even a hint of cranberry in the sent or taste.

I will try that tin again tonight, but i just dont know.

Don't like Knox; tastes like asparagus. I like asparagus but not in my snus. Onyx was over-flavored IMO and has no tobacco flavor. Lucky Strike has way too much liquid-smoke, tastes like cardboard for the first few minutes but is better after about half an hour. 1847 tasted great for the first few portions but turned against me.
