Near the bottom of the page is a blurb about Swedish Match expanding sinus into new markets. Still not Houston...

      • NJOY received a $20-million investment from Catterton Partners, a consumer-focused private equity firm. The electronic cigarette company said it will use the funds to increase brand awareness, growth and other business development opportunities.
      • Swedish Match is putting its General brand of snus on store shelves in seven new markets: New York, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Phoenix, Denver, Nashville, and throughout the state of Ohio. The two newest flavors in its product assortment, Nordic Mint and Classic Blend, will be available in c-stores and tobacco outlets in these metropolitan areas.

      • R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. is also expanding its snus business by bringing its latest product, Camel Snus Mint, to retail outlets in 27 states. Camel Snus Mint had been available only in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area since the first quarter of 2011.

They need to expand to my area badly. I'd really prefer to be able to buy it in gas stations and not order or drive 30 miles for it. It's crazy that it's hard to find here too. A big chunk of their US manufacturing and importing is right here in Kentucky

Get me a name and addy for a tobacconist and we'll see if I can't make that happen for you. Depending where you are, I aleady have a few shops in KY that carry snus, so PM me and let me know.

I'd much rather hear that they are bringing different varieties to the US instead of sending more of the coffin cans. They are better than camel but IMO far inferior to the round cans. It'd be really nice to go to my local tobacco shop and pick up a can of grov or ettan.

Still bummed I can't buy rape lingon other than online. Not sure if there would be much demand though. My LTS does a great job of stocking other general products though. I buy 2 or three rolls a month and they tell me they sell a ton of it.

Nice folks at Boda Pipes too!

I'd 2nd that. The US market stuff is OK, but I'd still be ordering Thunder, Jak's, and Oden's online even if I could buy SM's US-only products at the local gas station.

edit: didn't quote for some reason originally.

I just bought some in Michigan where I live and they had a few snus's I was surprised but happy. They were $4.35 a can but worth not having to wait for it lol

EDIT: They had General Los , General Mint White portions, General portions, Blue Ocean, Jagerpris two of them do not remember flavors on the Jagerpris. But they will order anything to have locally so I am pretty happy to have found a place to get in stuff for me , oh and they have about 100 pipe tobaccos and special addiction oops I mean special editions lol

That's actually really cheap. Even with my private shipments, I still pay upwards of $6-7 a can on most orders.

yea it is hard to get that low of a price on any web-site cause of the shipping fiasco , but this guy getting them at that price and probably cheaper if bartered then I would skip out on paying the delivery fees plus some change lol

Here in northeast PA, Turkey Hill is now carrying real General snus (wintergreen and mint, and white I believe), in the round cans now to go along with the nordic mint and classic blend in the coffin cans. Plus they have $2.50 off coupons that make a can only 99 cents.

Where Ettan is concerned, SM has actually been testing it in a few markets----Pittsburgh, PA and Portland, OR for two of them----since Spring 2011. We heard rumblings about it potentially going national in the U.S. at some point to compete with Copenhagen, but I haven't heard a thing about it since late last year.

Having Ettan lös available locally would make me one happy little fella.

I did see a US storefront snus cooler labeled and filled with Ettan posted somewhere online, so that's probably a good sign.
