    Questions about Pioneer Snuff (Snus)

So, I understand that it's made in Vietnam and distributed by Northerner? Is the tobacco grown in SE Asia? Is it made by Swedish standards, i.e.
steam pasturization etc. Anyone ever see any TSNA data for Pioneer?

I'm really liking it, very tasty snus. Just curious if it is as "pure" as Swedish brands.

    Thanks

It's made in Laos, and the tobacco comes from there also. It's a Swedish expat that owns the company. Dunno anymore, but here's the site...

      Thanks lxskllr!
Man, this snus is really really good. It has a robust flavor, which I like. It's a unique flavor, nothing else quite like it. I think I detect a hint of juniper ala Gote Rape.
And maybe a hint of anise. I love the consistency too, very fine grind, moist and putty-like. As disappointed as I was at receiving 50 tins of Pioneer instead of Phantom Blue, I'm starting to get over it real quick-like. And like you said, 50 g. per tin is a better deal.

Unfortunately, great snus like Pioneer is a dying breed. Enjoy it while you can. Pretty soon we will only be able to pick from an assortment of candy flavored snus.
