How I have missed you, my precious...

I recently moved my snus stash to the office freezer, where there is much more space than my freezer at home. For the Thanksgiving weekend, I opted not to take home any of my staple snuses - Ettan white and General white - and instead opted for some irregular snuses - Oden's Cold, Oden's 69, and GR Lingon.

Now, there is nothing wrong with any of these snuses. I find they are good when I want a little variety. However, I was furious with myself by the end of the weekend for not having more foresight. Though these are fine snuses in their own right, they are most definitely not Ettan white or General white.

I got to the office and made a beeline for the freezer. Sweet, sweet Ettan, how I have missed you...

It's not even addiction per se - I have gone days without just to prove to myself I could, and it was no biggie. But the flavor of these two is, IMHO, unparalleled.

I learned a long time ago not to take budget snus on vacation

My reasoning used to be..........the snus will have to travel.....there might not be freezer space.......I might have it on me at all times.....so I will take a least favorite to abuse

Now my thinking is.........it is flippen vacation/holiday.............dog put your best clean shirt on.....comb your hair......and stick a tin of the best in your pocket............ya only live once

I bought like three rolls of LD White to take with me to Thailand. Terrible mistake. It is not bad; do not get me wrong, but it does not compare at all with the premium Swedish Match brands. And also I really dislike white portions... bah! Luckily I ordered some of the good stuff, but I am slowly running out of it... help me!

Mate, I totally disagree. I used LD White exclusively for months, it's a fine snus. No different to General White whatsoever, apart from a bit cheaper.

I'd still be using it to this day if I could get it. Sadly, snus.de don't carry it, and neither does Northerner's US warehouse.

They certainly have some messed up pricing over there on snusbutiken!

It's 250 baht a can (about $8) - but if you view the price in dollars or euros - it's $8333.33 a can! Even for me who will literally go to the ends of the earth for snus - that's a bit on the steep side.

We go to Disney World at least once a year for 8 days and I bring along a few different brands. Since my wife has meds that need to be refrigerated, I can bring a few different brands with and not worry about their integrity since they go in the fridge at night. There's nothing quite like sitting on the patio at Animal Kingdom Lodge early in the morning with a cup of coffee and a prilla of Ettan loose and looking at the animals in the savahanna! 5 more weeks and I'll be there! :-)

I want some Ettan now, having just read this! Haven't had Ettan in about a year. I really wish there was an Ettan sterk; it'd probably become my daily snus.
