    Los

Well, I had my first los experience today, and while it wasn't bad per se, I found that it wasn't my cup of tea. My friend thinks heaven of it, but just like with dip, I just don't like the grittiness and mess of it. Plus, while the nicotine hit was there, it was basically flavorless. It was General Extra Sterk by the way. In comparison, if I have a General Extra Sterk portion, I definitely taste the flavor. Any thoughts?

I think there is a learning curve with los. Maybe play around with pris sizes, it's quite possible the pris was either to large or to small for what you're looking for. Also, are you hand baking, or using a prismaster/icetool?

I personally find the flavour of snus to be much more apparent when using los. I think portions dull the flavours, but again, this is just my opinion.

      Agreed!

Let me add you may have also baked it too tightly. The tighter the bake the slower the flavor development.....but also the longer it will last.

For a tightly baked pris in the upper lip you could be looking at 15 to 30 minutes before the flavor really releases

A hillbilly pinch in the lower lip will be harder to handle at first but will give quicker and more full flavor.

Anyway like OregonNative said.......don't close the book on los just yet......play around with it from time to time.......It does not have to become your staple.....but it may well find a place in your occasional rotation
When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

There is much wisdom to be found on this forum with regard to lossnus. I'm not trying to be a search Nazi, because I hate that, but seriously people have been addressing and discussing your concerns on this website for the better part of a decade. Also, try it again later. It might not be for you all the time, and it isn't for me all the time either, but it's a nice option for tobacco enjoyment any way you slice it. It's fun getting used to, so keep an open mind and don't toss out the General ES Los just yet.

Fortunately, it was my friend's, so nothing to be thrown out But no, it was just handbaked. I'll definitely give it a stab down the road, though.

Don't give up on it yet bro. I had the exact same thoughts when I first started with los. Now, I prefer it over portions.

It sounds to me like you didn't do a good job handbaking the pris. I'm not trying to insult you, but handbaking is definitely something that takes a little practice & getting used to. By the time you've finished a can or two, you'll be a pro at it!

You might want to try a different snus too. General ES los I like, but it shortly turns bitter (in my experience).
