With a little internal diplomacy, corporate whip-cracking, and lawyer defenestration we could have Red Man branded General in stores toot sweet.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was already in the works. Or at least a U.S. made General.

I think Red Man-branded Ettan is a very real possibility.

Believe it or not, it's still cheaper for SM to import the Swedish General than to try and convert the Kentucky factory into snus production. (They tried. Those American General prototype cans are worth a small fortune now.)

You guys seen Zonnic Gum or Pouches yet? I wrote about the Swedish version in Volume IV of the STE. It's hilarious; they run advertisements for Zonnic Portions on Swedish TV and they're basically snus portions rebranded as NRT. Now RJR owns them and they're trying to introduce them to the American market.

If RJR's US-made Zonnic "pouches" are the same as the Swedish portions I tried, it will be the closest thing to Swedish Snus that RJR has ever sold, including the BAT-produced original version of Camel Snus. Even funnier? In most states, it will be available in front of the counter or next to Nicorette gum. Can you imagine going to Walgreens to buy your Swedish Snus next to the Dr. Scholl's foot powder? Strange times we live in.

Red man ettan would be awesome. Be cool to buy something besides general locally.
