    New snuser

    Hey guys!

Do to a health issue I was forced to quit smoking. I have been 25 days without a smoke using the patch and gum. but I have to tell you the with drawls are still horrible!

I have always enjoyed the occasional "dip" but it is so expensive here in Canadastan, for some reason Snus is a bit cheaper.

After a quick google search last night I found this forum, did some reading and watched some youtube videos. Today I picked up my first tin of portioned snus, I got General "Smooth Taste", I have to admit I like it. But why the heck does it make me dizzy? I never had that with dip. Is this a normal effect with snus?

    Thanks
    Jeff

It's probably stronger, or has a different nicotine delivery. Copenhagen dip gives me the occasional headache. I assume it has something to do with the nicotine, but I don't know exactly what.

Probably just getting used to the new type of nic delivery :-) But snus is obviously way better.

You get used to it but you have made the first step in stopping smoking, snus will make it much easier. Just keep at it and you look back and wonder why you ever smoked, and welcome to the madhouse!

Thanks guys. First day and I am really liking this stuff. I just wish we had a larger selection locally. After reading what some of my fellow Canucks have had to pay to have some shipped that will not be an option for me lol.

You could always try making it yourself if you are able to buy the raw tobacco.

Don't let the cost of having some good snus shipped discourage you from ordering online. The Canadian General isn't bad but there is a huge variety to choose from online. The only hassle is if your package gets caught up in customs. Even if *all* your orders get nailed for duty you are paying about the same as you would for the General at the store. For me about half my packages are delivered with no customs issues but I'm in Ontario. Not sure where in Canada you are located - I've read some posts which make me believe other provinces may have worse luck. BC customs sound like dickheads.

Good luck! This stuff blows away the pharmaceutical crap.
