Make an original portion into a "white" ??

I know this can't be literally done due the processing yielding regular versus white portions but for me, many varieties of regular portions are just so "juicy". I do prefer the flavor intensity of a regular over white portion in most cases but honestly would take a mellower flavor over a regular portion than runs down my teeth. Maybe its just me....

I thought of testing this by opening/partially opening a regular can and letting it dry out a bit....won't be as strong as it originally was (?) but may juice less (?)

That should definitely work. I don't use many portions, so when I'm at the end of a tin(1 month+), they're noticeably less juicy. That isn't my preference, but they're still ok. I like juicy snus, and dislike white portions. I've never had one I thought was too wet.

Perhaps pressing the portion between paper towel before using it would get enough of the juice out. Then you wouldn't have to wait for the tin to dry out.

Pressing will remove some nic, but I leave cans open for a short time to dry them out, when I need a drier snus. And I also spritz with distilled water when I want a real wet snus portion. A matter of whim, but I never hesitate to experiment. Dry Los just needs a little spritz of water some times.

The difference between OP and WP is the OPs are wetted beffore packaging to draw the flavor out so if you want WP open the pouch and put it in a piece of tea bag i figure that should do it just be carful as it wont be sealed so if you move it around alot it might come open. On this note i bet you could make your own portions this way using loose.

Even if the portion is dried out, it is still an original portion, as the sachet material will still contain residual moisture, which differentiates this variant from white portions. If you truly want a white portion, you would have to empty the tobacco from an original portion and place it in a dry portion. With all of that hassle, I would just stick to using original portions as they were intended. Also, exposing the portion to air for an extended period of time will decrease not only the moisture content, but also the pH level, resulting in a lower absorption of nicotine.
