    Landströms Review

My order arrived today and here are my first thoughts.

I noticed the can is quite classy but it doesnt seal well at all. There is no tongue and groove seal or anything like that. The top doesnt stay flush to the bottom of the can. I would definately have second thoughts about carrying this in my pocket.

Also there is no Best before date to be found anywhere on the can.

    Now on to the flavor.

The flavor is quite subtle but still very good. The snus is a little dryer than what im acustomed to and can see how hard this stuff would be to hand bake.

I had my icetool set to 2 1/2 clicks and filled it up and it is holding up nicely.

It is like no other snus out there as I can not describe what I am actually tasting but whatever it is I like it.

I like the little bit of burn I got which took me back to my dipping days.

1st rate snus all the way. If you havent tried this i encourage you to.

Thumbs up to the husband and wife team who makes this. I love supporting mom and pop business and this is why. Premium products at non premium prices.

I will be looking foward to trying the Gellivare next order.

Note: I take it there is no best before date because from what ive read it seems northerner only orders this from them based on predicted sales. Seems they are out of this and Gellivare alot so they must ensure its freshness by ordering little based on orders.

I think they're a *very* small time production. I get the impression that the scale is farmers market in size. I think the Northerner is their only outlet to the world, and the rest is sold locally. I don't think the Northerner actually stocks the snus. If they can't get any, there isn't any to be had until Gellivare makes more. I could be wrong about all of this, but that's what I've gathered from bits and pieces of information over past year or so.

I'm glad you like it, it's a whole different experience. It doesn't stick together at all under the lip, but I find it's easy to control just the same. I never get a mudslide from it, but it does have a higher than average sand count :^D

I havent had any problems with it falling apart as of yet and ive had it in for an hour.

But yeah i like this, may be my new favorite. I would imagine there will be no discontinuation because its made in such small quantity. I hope.

I just wish i could put my finger on the flavor. Its good, i just cant compare it to anything.

Sounds great, I look forward to trying it. The can would not be much of a problem for me, since I can't use los at work or many other public places. (my wife would be mortified by a "mud slide" at the local mall  )
I hope northerner does not hold up my order untill they can fill the Gellivare part. It sounds as if that could be quite some time. The 2-4 days they state on the web site I can handle, I can't handel "someday...".

            UPDATE:

This snus, because it is a little bit dryer, seems to be more abrasive to the gums.

I would imagine this what it would feel like to put American Fine Cut Snuff under the top lip, but alot finer.

Althoguh you get great flavor, it doesnt run like other snus. Its quite plesant.

And i know the can says 50 grams, there is so much in the can that my Gotlands Gul Los can not hold it all. And Gotlands is 50 grams as well.
