can batches of the same snus vary in strength?

So yesterday I finished off a can of General original whites and cracked open another can of the same snus. It's my every day snus.
The current can I am working on is giving me nic hits larger than I actually want. I'm not using snus to catch a buzz but this can is kicking my ass.
Where as the last can of the same snus was giving me nicotine satisfaction without the buzz. Has this happened to anyone else? I have
never experienced something like this before.

    That is odd

It might be something else.....like a cold coming on or even something you ate, amount of sleep......that is causing you to react to the nic differently

or it just might be some kind of fluke in the snus

I'll be interested to see what others have to say
When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

Not on a whole can basis, but sometimes snus will hit me harder. I assume it has to do with current body chemistry/state. I never noticed a whole can being different.

I feel normal and healthy as I do every day. But every portion so far in this can as been stronger.
        Very strange.

I get batches that are stronger or just certain cans in that batch or even just a couple of portions in a can. If portions are dry they tend to be weaker - moist portions can really kick ass.

I feel that sometimes but never worked out why. Might be the tobacco in that particular batch, the pH of that batch or even how your body reacts chemically (maybe your mouth) at the time. I've thought for a while snus manufacturing was never an 'exact' science unlike cigarettes (if you can call that that)

One thing I have found is alcohol affects things. Having a few beers and snusing kicks my ass but the days after that the snus does little but gradually as the alcohol washes out your system the snus kicks more. Might be something.

That's interesting pris. Although I quit drinking 3 years ago, I do remember it had an effect.

I'd be willing to bet that the Ph of your mouth/saliva at the time is the culprit. Sure there might be a "hot spot" in a batch of snus but I doubt it (to lx's point) would be discernible really.

This I would say is most likely, also I find that if I snus on an empty stomach it can hit harder sometimes.

This has been my biggest belief to date.

Freshness definitely makes a difference - the fresh ones are a bit stronger & generally wetter too so they get to work quicker.
